hum i figured that but for his eye to react like even from a level 3 so far away is just stange. And that is pretty much how I got it, Allen's eye reached to the immense power title gave off when he powered up. This probably isn't the first time as hinted in the flashback where he was covering his eye.

Figured I'd just explain this to what I got from reading both the manga and watching the episode.

His eye going berserk isn't anything "out of the ordinary", it's happened to him quite a few times ever since his eye evolved back in Castle Crowley (the flashback also has his eye doing the same thing when Lenalee comes along as Deathkillz mentioned). It's just his eye wanting him to go out and save the souls of the akuma

-All this is mentioned by Allen as he cries about how he's in a position where he can't help and how he hates this form.

However, if you mean why his eye went berserk and hurt especially in China then yes I suppose it was because of Eishi fighting Lenalee.
OR, there's a better explanation, but that's a manga spoiler XD.

Thanks to all the people for contributing their support for D.Gray-man, and to the fansubbers for their work and effort invested in delivering their releases.

Even though, Christmas is no longer in Japan, I'm grateful to live at the other side of the world where it has just begun.

Since the RAWs have not yet come out for episode 64, I won't be putting up information that will spoil the episode for you all. However, looking the pics at 2chan confirmed two terrible losses.

Even though she lost the sensuality of her long-hair, the short-haired Lenalee to me is well complemented with sexiness. She looks better in the anime than she does in the manga.

That was a very emotional episode, especially the ending as we see the crew, including Anita travel away without Miranda's power. I really do like how it was handled though, powerful.

Short haired Lenalee is lovely, very lovely in my opinion. I wasn't expecting this so suddenly, though i guess i could say i'm used to it already.

I know it's probably a minority opinion, but I think Miranada's innocence may be the most powerful of all of them. That said, I haven't read much of the manga so I haven't seen Cross in action yet, not really...

In terms of power no. If you pin her against an akuma there is not much she can do. But, in getting a strategic advantage yes it can be very powerful in trying to beat the enemy.

Combat innocences can be powerful indeed, but they're a dime a dozen and really, it's just a matter of pitting their power against the opponent's power. Miranada can change the rules of combat itself and, as far as I know, there's no demon or Noah that can do what she does.

This is a terrible loss! She's ceased being cute! I thought that level 3 fight was pretty bad ass, but the result is totally not cool.

Yes let us all hold a moment of silence for the loss of Lenalee's long hair....Heck even Anita brought up that she should go and grow it back long. A tough loss in the toughest fight of Lenalee's life. I'm just glad she's alive to grow it long once again.

Going full out really does a number on the body. Her legs look like they will being a rough spot for a while now. But maybe one of the biggest hits is the consideration that Lenalee's innocence is the Heart. Certainly its done something quite out of the ordinary in preserving Lenalee's life. At the very least its an unique one to be sure.

Feel terrible for Anita and co. Never saw her get hit and it was a shock that she didn't make it. She was a great person and its sad to see her go. At least she got the information that Cross is alive, but still its a sad thing. As expected a massive amount of the crew died on this one. A sad thing in that Miranda's innocence could keep them going for a while longer but it couldn't keep them from their deaths.

Just to say anyways. Be it short or long hair Lenalee still looks great . Sure I'd love to have the long hair back but I'll survive for now. Wasn't sure how I'd take it, but its really not bad when you get used to the change.

Merry Christmas to the Shinsen staff and thanks for releasing their 63rd episode sub today.

They extended the screentime on the ship to accentuate the drama on both Miranda and Lavi about the losses that they're about to be witness in the next episode, that aired today.

Spoiler:

I felt heartbroken watching how the sailors were mercilessly shot, and yet refused to say die but instead kept on shielding Miranda, so as to contribute with their role even though their hours are now numbered.

It's good to bear witness that Krory did not kill those Lv. 2 akuma outright, but instead inject them all with his blood to make them feel the pain and agony that they inflicted upon his comrades.
In the manga the akuma started to feel the symptoms of the infections just before the scene returned to the ship, but the anime showcased their agony in full.

As for Lavi, even though Bookman warned him not to let his feelings get dragged by the war, the thoughts about Lenalee possibly dying because she didn't return to the ship torment him.
But Lavi must not vent his anger and frustration neither upon Miranda nor upon the sailors. He and them are as well comrades, and Lavi is not the only one who has bear witness to the terrible price paid for their victory.

Lavi recalled what happened to Allen and bore somewhat a weight of guilt, therefore, he rushed to the sight of the explosion in order to prevent another calamity befalling Lenalee as well.

Overall, the episode was surprisingly good. We got to see how Lenalee's fight developed but from the perspective of those who stayed fighting on the ship, and it was good as well that for a change Lavi revealed another of his seals.

I was just getting too dragged and dulled that he always kept on using the fire seal, which supposedly his Innocence gives him access to 'twelve' seals.

In episode 61, he used the lightning seal and now in this one used the wood seal.

And to add another twist into the mix......

Spoiler:

Lenalee emerges barely alive, encased inside a crystal, that according to the modified Akuma it was a form that her Innocence took to protect her.

Lenalee was bewildered, because it was the first time he witnessed and heard that an Equipment-type Innocence could exert a sentient will to protect its conformer.

I must assume that type of phenomenon never happened with other Exorcists in the past, and the first case was Allen's Innocence that didn't die but turned into mist and used a piece of itself to reconstruct the damaged tissue of Allen's heart that was destroyed by Tykki's tease.

And now Lenalee's dark boots, Innocence reacting on their own to protect her.

I speculate, and only speculate that those two Innocence are either somewhat synchronized or maybe they are a sort of twin Innocences calling out to each other, but even in the manga the author has hinted so little about the special nature of Allen's and Lenalee's Innocences.

Finally, what better way to top and close the episode....

Very well done. I never expected lenali to be pretty much alive and well besides her legs. Thank god that she is fine in the end - but considering that her innocence maybe heart then she might not be allowed anymore, which is something for her to protest about in the future.

I expected as much that the whole crew will die, but anita as well...this came as a big shock ;___;

But the biggest shock for me is seeing 3 "title" type akumas in the preview...

Alrighty, so episode 64, poor Lenalee loses her hair.... her long beautiful hair- Oh well she's still attractive enough .

It's funny, back when Allen had his innocence destroyed we were sure his wasn't the heart, then we find out a miracle happened and technically it was never destroyed- still keeping the possibility of him (the lead) having the heart. And now we have another miracle with Lenalee to confuse us >_>.

The deaths, I was expecting something like around 10 people living with about half being badly crippled. But holy crap, EVERYONE died. That scene where Anita says her farewells was very very sad and must've been pretty hard on Lenalee, and Miranda .

Next episode(two weeks argh), the gang is finally in Edo- oh how rough of a journey it's been and it seems they encounter three Lv 3 Akumas, and also we get to see more of the noah family. Can't wait to watch it and everything else that takes place in Edo.

You guys were half right, it is reacting for Eishi, but don't forget the other level 2 ... But that's not what I meant...

The eye wants Allen to go after the Akumas yes this much is true, however the reason for it is not so noble as to save their souls

It just wants him to destroy them, to go to where the Akumas are.

Allen describes it as a "beast demanding it's prey", "as if it doesn't alot him to sleep". And the words he used afterwards seems to indicate that the eye wasn't exactly 'berserking', but rather feeling 'impatient' and 'excited'.

That's not exactly true. If you look back at all of her innocence scenes, it can only do one-two things:

- To create a protective barrier over a certain area.
- To reverse time and return people and objects back to their orignal state.

Which just means that it's a "healer-support" type, it's not really anything over the top.

And it's not far to compare one innocence's ability to another After all they all do different things
