K1-4: Kuroneko vs Akaza Akari
One of the front runners to break the Madoka dominance of 2011 vs one of the front runners to break the Saki stranglehold on 2012. These two are facing each other once again. Like how Madoka is stronger than Saki, the Madoka challenge proved stronger than the Saki challenger the first time they met. It wasn't a big win for Kuroneko, but it was solid and recent enough that I feel she'll repeat that performance. It should be another good close match. Vote: Kuroneko (Gokou Ruri) Prediction: Kuroneko (Gokou Ruri)

Spoiler for graphics:
Spoiler for Oh dear...:
I'm with Madoka on this. Come on, Homu, I know you got bussed in the second round, but let's be good sports here. That being said...in your face, ion. Own it.

Only 417 votes?
This is a joke right? This is suppose to be the match with highest vote. Madoka vs Ayase vs Homura still gather 1052. Where are the rest of the voters? Even Tsukiko vs Kobato got more votes. Did the admin ban a lot of legitimate voters again or what? |

I'm more inclined on the fact that tons of voters have quit the tournament rather than getting their IPs banned. I remember few voters who know Japanese came to frequently discuss the tournament before the new rule started, they also said that they lost interest because of this and won't bother voting anymore. Now we don't see them around here anymore.

With very few resistance voters remaining (leaving out all other possible factors involved in helping Madoka winning), it appears Madoka can't be stopped among the non-PMMM opponents. Madoka doesn't have to worry about facing another PMMM opponent until the semis, so that should give her time to decide if she wants to continue the PMMM domination..... or to make sure her allies (Or at least Mami) don't betray her again with split voting, actually have other opponents snipe her allies.
Of course, her first priority is to pay attention and make sure she doesn't look past whoever the winner of the next match is. I'm guessing Kuroneko, but Akari might be looking for revenge in this rematch.

On the other hand, poor Ayase...but then, she did lose most of the momentum while Madoka is gaining them. For next round, another revenge match, and I just don't see the result flipping... Pick/Predict: Kuroneko.

There has already been a hugh decline in total votes after the new rule, around 300-400 votes. Also, they give up because there is a PMMM opponent in the match? The Kobato vs Tsukiko has more votes than both Kyouko vs Sawa and Madoka vs Ayase . If Kuroneko vs Akari also has more votes than this, what I think might seem to be right, which is a shame.

I don't think it was Ayase's fault, Homu...

I went to look at the twitter bar on the official saimoe page, it seems that the Yuru Yuri fanbase still has strong fighting spirit. I haven't seen any exploding retweets like that from other factions in previous matches.
Good to know
