If they're bringing out Shinano, then I would hope that they would be starting to introduce the Akizuki class of AA destroyers, the only class they have yet to touch.
Also, the developers could also go down a more touchier path and bring in some of the foreign ships that the IJN pressed into service, the most notable being the Chinese near twin "cruisers" Ning Hai and Ping Hai.

For whoever who wants an idea how expensive 5-5 can be, here is Makurako's report and mine.
Unless medals are really that important later on, doing this is obviously downright masochism, although it is quite necessary for ranking considering the flat 200 ranking points gained with it.

Musashi and Nagato somehow gained 5 lvl, but 5-4 and 3-2 are way more cost effective, especially when you consider the former repair bill (I seriously don't want to see any steel amount in 4 digits any time soon). To make things worse, it is quite annoying to be rewarded with common ships.

Also, you need at least 1 Yamato class, Nagato and Mutsu. I would even deploy a third Yamato class if it was possible, as even Nagato can be literally one shotted by Elite Re class on the opening torpedo salvo. Kongou class BB are just helpless against these, be it armor or the lack of AP shell.

I got a slightly off-topic question:

I recently went on Baidu and saw some admiral's screenshots of Kaga, and she looks much different than the original art. Originally I thought it was just shopped, but more and more of these Kagas are popping up and I'm just wondering how did they change it the that art? A mod?

Similarly how some people tried to translate the game, it is very likely they used a script that replace Kaga's original sprite with the stock image for the anime.

Fellow admirals, am I allowed to buy drinks for my destroyers?

I was converging on my third victory on 4-4 when the boss node decides to throw a T-cross disadvantage at my DD/BB/BB/CA/CV/DD task force. I entered the night phase with the boss flagship untouched and three other abyss ships with single-digit HP.

I was ready to give up when Hibiki, armed with only depth charges and sonar, wrecks the boss for 100+ damage. Then, to my frustration, the BBs and Maya waste their shots on the almost-dead escorts. It all came down to Shimakaze, also armed with just depth charges, who proceeds to sink the boss with non-critical but just enough damage.

This was seriously the coolest thing I've ever seen in the game, cooler than Arpeggio superlasers. I have this incredible urge to reward my two DDs somehow, and not with something lame like a ring.

Hi I'm a relatively new admiral for this game and it's been pretty addicting. I am at 2-3 right now and it looks like I'll need a full BB CV group by 2-4. Should I both leveling my CA, CL at this point or should I focus all my reources on getting and leveling BB/CV now? (I'm aware there's a DD map so i'll still level those)

Just bring along some CAs for fillers when you're grinding your BBs and CVs or farming for BB drops. You can consider bringing at most 1 along for 2-4 if you got tired of trying to get a full BB/CV fleet. You're gonna want them to soak up some xp for the future anyway since they level reeeeeally slowly. IMO with the right level and equipment set up plus a little bit of luck, 3 BB and 1 CV is enough for 2-4. Getting more BBs or CV makes your trip to the boss safer but not 100% necessary.

Do it on your own pace, but I think you should keep a balanced fleet as of now.
BB and CV are very easy to grind, but not so much for the other classes, save CLT, especially if you only have map 2 at your disposal.

Having a large level disparity at this point of the game will be detrimental, unless you are fine in grinding ships with 3-2 all the time.

Actually, if you take a closer look, you can see rensouhou-chan's arm. That hull is looking like some sort of handbag she's carrying, with rensouhou sitting inside it.

hey everyone I was just wondering whats the best recipe for 46cm guns? ive been tring the 10 300 250 10 recipe but ive gotten a lot of failures so just curious what the best one is to get that gun and all

Well, for those who still doubt about the presence of a rensouhouchan, this does fit quite perfectly. Nothing official yet though (can't say if fatalpulse did get that sample from Yoshinori himself or if he did it. he does say "こうだよね" though).

Just use the usual big gun recipe. The 46 cm gun is the rarest gun to construct, as far as collated results go -- something like 3%, so you really just need persistence and a whole lot of spare resources.
