So finally the best girl enters the game.
Patrasche! EDIT: Also, the ringtone used in the end of the episode is from Dog of Flanders anime. I suppose Subaru really likes that anime/book, taking the name of the dog for his dragon.

"Everyone follow that idiot that just aggro'd the raid boss!"
I could't help but be reminded of "that idiot mage that always pulls the raid boss instead of the tank" YOU KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT. Because they seem to exist in every instance.

Whoa this episode...
A buildup but I really like the chemistry between certain characters especially for those who have lost their loved ones against the Whale in the past. Also, I lol'd @ jealous Rem. From what I heard, the staff actually put a decent amount of effort into the cell phone ringtone (the one that Subaru used as the signal that the whale is coming). Next episode should be quite action packed.

Great episode, Re:Zero did it again!
This time we were able to see a better Subaru, someone who don't mess up his chances and literally thinks about the current situation. The negotiation felt a bit short and rushed but still have the necessary impact showing how Subaru developed as MC after all what happened to him in the previous episodes, he's not screaming around with killing intent anymore, now he really knows how to play his cards. It is amazing how well done was this adaptation, showing how Subaru evolved from scratch to being a really good MC, I wish more stories and series take this way to develop their characters, honestly at this point there is no doubt at all, Re:zero is the AOTY. Good thing that we now have more of Wilhelm's past, which helps to understand why he wants to kill the White Whale and that's for revenge against it for his waifu's death. Now the best part begins! the battle against the White Whale, cant wait for the next episode. |

Subaru learning from his mistakes and putting the puzzle pieces together! This is his true power. The ability to manipulate people as if they were pawns in a chess game thanks to his knowledge from the previous timelines. But i believe this is not going to be that easy especially with the Witch Cult lurking around.
I wonder how the Whale's power work. It looks like people remember the lost ones however the Merchant and Rem were forgotten when they encountered the Whale. Is there a limited ammount of individuals the Whale can erase from existance? |

Eh, dunno, having that huge body would imply it can just squash its enemies bodies when its not busy erasing them from the world. I'm guessing the people who fall to the whale that way are the ones that are remembered and grieved.
