Episode 110 Discussion Thread

[hi no ken Jebus]

Yay it's finally here and although there's some ups and down on the animation and art, but it was still great.

Spoiler:

-Starts off with grand fisher being reborn from a less hollow body to something more human.
-ichigo and co are back in school and keigo notices they are different and more friendly making him feel left out.
-tatsuki comes in and notices that ichigo is carrying a weird badge, ichigo almost spills the beans on his shinigami side job but gets save my ms. ochi starting class
-during class ichigo's badge starts up and he leaves to take out the hollow threat along with chad and inoue who follow him
-short after that tatsuki sees ichigo running in his shinigami outfit
-ichigo takes out the hollow no problem and he tells inoue and chad he can handle this much on his own. they also talk about how uryuu's power isn't back yet. As they leave someone was watching them
-meanwhile ririn and the mod soul squad are bored since their job is over
-next day there's a new oddball student hirako shinji
-back home kon missed rukia and tells ichigo what he was doing while he was away ichigo 's badge starts up again and he takes off leaving kon in his body
-ichigo takes out the hollow and runs into rukia's replacement kurumadani zennosuke as ichigo tries to explain who he is hirako attacks him with a zanpakutoh
-hirako warns ichigo to keep his spirit pressure in check otherwise it might attract problems
-uryuu on his way home gets attacked by a hollow and kon in ichigo's body gets attacked by grand fisher
-back to ichigo and hirako, hirako tells ichigo he doesn't belong with the humans and asks to join up with his group the vaizards
-episode ends as uryuu's quincy techniques fail to kill the hollow and he's saved by his father ryuuken and his quincy powers
-shinigami illustrated picture book thing is kurumadani whinning to SS that all sorts of people are interfering with his job

i honestly wonder what the mod-souls would now do in the anime since most people thought they would disappear after the fillers. since they are still in the anime, something must be planned for them

I'm in the process of getting the RAW. The last I've watched a raw Bleach... well, I don't remember, but that's not important. What is important that I'm going to watch a RAW. Will add more when I've watched the episode.

For me it would me please if the staff uses again the music scores from the second OST soundtrack for the new arc or at least some during the next set of battles.

For example, the following scores, which are my favorites, including:
Emergence of the Haunted, Rage of Lunacy, The Calling, Choked.
These belong to the second OST.

However, it's obvious that since the anime's back to manga material then that means we're going to hear again the scores from the first soundtrack.

Some of my favorites include:
On the Precipice of Defeat - score that was used in the previous episode to introduce Shinji.

Destiny Awaits, Catch 22, Number One.

IMO Raw breath of Danger or Creeping shadows would have sounded better as both sound a lil creepy in a nice way . Catch 22 could have been used during Ishida chase =]

i should really not be this excited for an anime, but honestly, this is the most exciting anime ep, even if it is just eh, because it's leading up to some truly awesome stuff with the new characters!

What's wrong with the new ED? It's not like there wasn't "spoilers" in the OP/EDs before...

Finally watched it. Some observation as follows in the spoiler:

Spoiler for episode 110:

• Animation: The episode is mostly comprised of comedic moment and the animation dips in quality in those occasion. At the same time, the animation gets noticeably better every time the key parts are focused in the episode. The ending song had very very good animation that has been lacking for quite some time. Here is a frame as an example which looks beautiful:
  
  
  

• Music: Music has been suitable for all scene but one, when Ishida was attacked by a hollow. I thought that particular bgm was unsuitable to the occasion and killed the mood.

• Content: This is where the episode is far superior to what some of us were seeing/enduring in the Bount Arc. The sense of organization was evident as soon the episode starts. Here is a bit of description of the opening scene:
  

  Hills. Lingering shadows fleeting and expanding like a cloud just like it is before a storm. It is the Hollow-world. The camera then shifts to a made depression. There is something placed at the bottom. We then see a bandaged figure sitting there and moving agitatedly. Abruptly, it starts to grow grotesquely. Then it breaks free of the bandages surrounding its entire body. The crouching figure slowly stands up. The camera moves to its mask. The mouth of that mask slowly opens. Through that crack it reveals two fierce eyes. It, then, clearly utters two words, "Kurosaki Ichigo."

  
  
  I was instantly captivated by the episode. The arrangement is what keeps an audience attentive to the context of a show. This episode is evident of good content and excellent arrangement.

• Other Thoughts: From as much as I've unerstood from some of the dialogues with my favorite loli in Bleach, it seems like this will be the last time we will see of the mod souls introduced in the Bount Arc. They still might make their appearance here and there, such as, with Don Kannoji, but chances of them being involved with the future plotline is reduced to almost none. I suppose this takes care of the last loose ends, the whereabouts of the modsouls, and severes all ties with the Bount Arc as this arc continues to develop.

• Ishida has a relative. At a first glance, this new face rivals Byakuya-sama's charm even if it may sound like a blasphemy to all the die hard fan of his highness.

Enjoyed this episode very much and eagerly looking forward to the next one. Yay! Bleach is back.

HOHO...main event getting started, pretty good episode! So much happened within this one episode.

Animation quality was up and down but all good, animation was the worse when they were in school being ordinary school kids. New ending, one that gives off a sad impression.

Shinji's voice wasn't what I imagined it to be but it was good, he has an evil voice when he's talking seriously. Oh and why is he like the only person we've ever seen to float everywhere rotating up and down along with items he carries?

CAN'T WAIT TO GET FURTHER INTO THIS ARC!

Ishida's dad looks kinda hardcore. I was wondering when Ichigo's friend started to take notice of Ichigo being a death god, should've known it was at the beinning of this arc.

Shinji in this episode was super mysterious, reminds fo the store manager but creepy and even more knowledgable.

I think it's the outfit. Boobs don't show through Shinigami garb as well as schoolgirl outfits.

But man, throughout the episode not to many hints or anything was given, it just seemed like a normal day of life was back but then everythign happens at the end, making your desire to see the next episode uncontrolable. WE HAVE TO WAIT ANOTHER WEEK!!!!!

Oh, did anyone notice there was something in Shinj's mouth, looked like a tongue ring or something when he did that creepy smile behind Ichigo? What was that thing? Most likely no big deal but it was just bugging me...
