I'll be sure to check it out if I can...Ahh, speaking of which, Young Negi has been completed. (Finally.) It's Sequel, Alternate Blossoms, is up with it's prologue, and honestly, even though I say September ninth being when I'll launch the first chapter, you all know me better than that, I think...

If you want to read it, I warn you, it's rated "M".

Here is Alternate Blossoms...

The insane updater is at it again, the first chapter is already half done, and the other half will probably be done by today, ready for editing...but I'll try to slow down by working on other stories.

*Gulp* I've just read that chapter. I feel almost scared reading that.

Since that's some M rated, I'll give you this. It's not part of the PotM main story, but I'll write it for the fun of it.

Spoiler for Honeymoon day 1:

Sunny Spain greeted the trio as their personal jet landed in Madrid-Barajas Airport. Having good contacts certainly paid off, at times. And this wasn't some weird quest or something, but relaxation. Two royalties and a gentle robot girl was making ready to leave the airport to find their transport.

Negi Springfield was dressed casually for one, having neat blue jeans and white shirt, along with a cloak, that did make the security suspicious at first, but since he was only a kid, they didn't pay much attention to him much. Once he got past the metal detectors, he knew he was definitely safe from them.

His wife, Theodora of the Royal Hellas family on the other hand had adorned a black skirt and white shirt, along with a lightly brown colored coat on top. Her horns had been covered by a good old sunhat that had them stick out, making it look like the horns were part of the hat. A lot of young women at the airport noticing that wanted something like that, but the princess told them that it was custom made.

Chachamaru, finally, had her casual black dress on her with the white sunhat. She couldn't help but smile at the two others looking in awe at the sights before they could get to their vehicle. “Negi-sensei, Theo-sama, shall we get a move on?” She asked the two.

“Huh? Ah yes.” Theo gathered her wits first of the two. “Come on, Negi. We got to get going.” She had to drag her husband with them so they could get away. He had spotted something real shiny, I suppose.

“Yes, yes, I'm coming, so can you please stop dragging me, Theo?” He asked her gently, so she stopped and lifted him up instead so he could stand on his own two feet. “Thank you.”

“Now, let's get a move on. We're supposed to stay in Marbella, not fool around in Madrid.” The princess said.

“You've learned a lot about geography since you came to Mahora, it seems...”

“Not really, I just looked over a brochure before we got on the plane and checked out Madrid from it. It's Spain's capital city, isn't it?”

“Negi-sensei, Theo-sama, we're here.” Chachamaru reported for them, standing in front of... something resembling a futuristic motorcycle, with a roof and two seat. It had support wheels on the sides to help it stay upright and it was colored yellow. It had a crimson red Lambda on the side.

“That's it?” Theo asked surprised at its shape and design.

“What is it?” Negi asked, sliding his hand on its side.

“Accessing local network for information...” Chachamaru stated, as several binary codes ran through her eyes. “It's a Monotracer. A new brand of motorcycle designed in Switzerland. Top speed, 155 mph, designed for comfort and the materials involved are glass, kevlar and carbon steel.”

“That was a little too informative, Chachamaru...” Theo commented her.

“Please step into the back seat.” The robot asked the two. “I shall drive this to Marbella.” With that, she opened it up for the couple of sit down first, with Negi in Theo's lap and the seat-belt was strapped onto them.

“Um, Chachamaru-san...” Negi asked nervous about all this. “Are you sure about this?”

“Yes.” The robot answered him as onlookers watched the door close and her starting up the engine. “I was programmed some time ago to handle personal vehicles from Hakase-san.”

Both passengers gulped. Negi caught a glimpse of a young man looking at him in his position and then gave him a thumps up. Negi could only return it before the Monotracer took off and gained speed quite rapidly, pushing him and Theo backwards. Once they left the outskirts of Madrid and made it into the open roads, then the robot turned up the speed.

“AAAAHHHH!” Both royalties screamed as their driver went zig-zag, since the support wheels had been raised. “Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god! Oh my god!” Theo kept yelling as they almost hit the ground multiple time. “I don't want to die so young!”

“I don't want to die so young and pressed against a lady's breasts!” Negi yelled after a chicane had been outmaneuvered by Chacha's driving.

“Well look at it this way!” Theo replied to that.

“Huh?”

“It's your wife's boobs!” With that, Chachamaru began to slow down a little as the road had become straight... for now.

“...Point there.” Negi replied to her when they were catching their breaths.

Out in Space, behind the moon

A massive space craft appeared from somewhere out of the blue. It was 2 km long and it was built for practical designs. This rendered it ugly, but Battle frigates tends to be that. It had heavy armaments for ship-to-ship combat and orbital bombardment if necessary.

What was inside the ship, was where the horrors lie. Creatures out of some horrible movie franchise, patrolled the corridors, alongside synthetic humanoid-like built robot, pained mostly white and flashlights for heads, armed with rifles, looking up creepy narrow corridors for some stowaways aboard their mighty ship.

On the bridge, sat a lone figure. Not piloting the ship, as a supercomputer seemed to be doing that for the figure. This individual was more busy inspecting the planet they were approaching. “...Is that where the target is?” She asked, revealing to have a female tone to herself. “Shadrac, can we get a lock on the target? Where he is now?”

“Target is approximately at coordinates 365518746 and moving southward rapidly, at around 150 mph in local 1 G speed.” Shadrac, the ship's computer reported to her.

“Any fixed position we can get on him? Any place he's going to?”

“Unknown. Target was spotted on a rough estimation. 40547398 to 1 to get a precise location on target.”

“Any towns he might be heading to?”

“Recommending stand by for approximately 4 megacycles until suitable location.”

“Gah!” A new voice, this one belonging to a huge mechanoid. “Is this mission going to take all stellar cycle? I can't stand the scent of your organic 'pets' as you call them!”

“...my pets are pretty much house clean and generally stick to only to the secluded parts of the Bloodgeld.” The captain of the ship responded to him, her, it. “Not to mention, they make a wonderful planet cleaner should we need to go extreme.”

“But this calls for subtlety and just one target.” Her large mech replied to her. “If that's what the contractor called for, then why bring those things here as well?”

“Because, Starscream,” The captain rose from her seat to address her 2nd in command. “The contractor also said the prize for this kill was 4 000 000 credits. Four million! A planetary governor doesn't even come up to 200 000 credits. And they happen to be some of the most well guarded people in the galaxy.”

“So you're saying that this organic happens to be highly dangerous?” The great robot known as Starscream asked his commanding officer.

She could not help but grin viciously. “That, or he's linked to some of the most dangerous people on that planet.” She smiled whilst thinking the possibilities. “Think about it. He might be the key to them staying their hands. Probably against each other. We get rid of him, all of Hell is gonna break loose. Maybe, just maybe, should we be rid of him and blame one of the big parties, the other will surely declare war on the blamed party.”

“...meaning that it would be easier for that invasion army on its way to take over this pathetic excuse of a planet while they're fighting each other.” Starscream realized. “O-ho... maybe leaving Cybertron for good was not a bad idea, after all.” He smiled. “If only the smell could improve...”

Her commander laughed lightly at him. “I love that smell. Reminds me of why I'm so damn good at my job.” She took a seat. “this is gonna be the easiest earned amount of money i've ever earned...”

Spoiler for Notes:

-I need a fitting title to this, as Honeymoon seems a bit farstretched. It's good with the scenario but I need something better, at least.

-This is however connected to PotM, from chapter 38, for those that have read that far. Therefore, the multi crossover madness will continue. I swear, I need to tune it down when I'm done with the story.

-Yes, that is the actual Starscream from Transformers. No way you haven't heard of that series. This is in fact the Transformers Animated version, where he had died in the last episode (sorry for spoilers) and then got his body picked up and reanimated by this mercenary leader.

-Just for the record, the synthetics here are Geth, from Mass Effect. I find these guys, how do you say it, very cool.

It is indeed, interesting...although, Honeymoon does seem to be a bit stretched, yet, I can see the sinister side of it hiding behind. If you want to keep the word, could add another to steer it in the right way...ha ha, but honestly, what kind of Honeymoon is one where you have to stave off an invasion? A Sourmoon more like it. (I'm not putting that up as a title choice by the way...it's just terrible. Blame lack of sleep. So's Honeylit Night, what's up with my head today?! Gahh!

I like the Mad Crossover here though. I wonder if the married duo will meet a friendly one to help them along?

Yes, this will be rated M as well. I have yet to post it up and I don't lie when I say that I need assistance in ideas and fun sides to it.

Sleep, the bliss that escapes me not due to fault of my own, but a fault of my lifestyle, work and study truly will be my undoing. Ehh, I had five hours last night, better than usual, I'll live.

Well, I have been trying to practice the fun side of my writing too. (Lord knows I need too.) One reason Alternate Blossoms is here. Sure, it's going to get scary, dangerous, and definitely heated and grim, but the sheer fact that I can find so many ways to poke fun at the storyline I have planned out gives me ample opportunity...

Seems to me that you have two choices, one, the popular road and one the not so popular road, both of which had their ups and obvious downs, look at it as Order and Chaos if you will.

The insane engine starts again. Come on you pencil pushing brain cells...basic outline first, you probably already had this in your head.

The popular road would obviously be to have these people try their attack and fail, but do enough damage to get Negi's attention, and perhaps even fulfill their plan of pointing the finger at the wrong party, starting something. At this point, Negi would become a renegade here.

His party obviously wants to get to the bottom of the whole thing, and most likely isn't interesting in finger pointing, only truth. All the while, the two "blamers" (read: you did it! "No, you did it!") argues up a storm and cause a ruckus, war.

Your enemy party obviously will try to take advantage...the slow approach works best here, a slow, sneaky take over in which Negi's party gradually under covers. Once he's gathered enough evidence...is it too late to reconcile the two warring parties?

Is it too late to come together and face the real enemy? Obviously not...and even if it is too late to reconcile, Negi's party could be the sole force driving home the stake to end this nonsense.

Fun sides are sparse in war, but since this is his Honeymoon in a ways, one can still find moments of peace in the grim grips of war. Introducing new blood, friends that add hilarity to the mix as well as provide strong back up, would be a good place to start.



Of course, then there is the unpopular road the one you most likely don't want to take, heck, I'd be kind of cautious taking this one...in which they succeed in terminating Negi and co, starting up a true war. The warring parties would have to pull themselves together quick to realize it's not each other they have to fight, it's the outsiders.

That's the obvious stuff, now for a few ideas...

Looking at the fun, what kind of place are they staying in exactly? What can they do there? Swim? Hike? Putting the emphasis on their hotel activities, and adding some humor along the way might be a way to lighten the mood.

(For some reason, and this moment, the famous, "That's not soda you're drinking Negi, it's sake!" comes to mind. I wonder what a slightly tipsy Negi might do...)

Of course, think about background. Is there a traveling band that decided to stay in the same hotel for some odd reason? Maybe someone wants to teach the royal couple something fun? (Dancing lessons maybe as a recreational activity?)

Of course, during the "war", regular "blooper moments" come to mind. The times you really want to ask a character..."what the heck were you thinking?!" (If they were at all.)

(Ever had an OC randomly attack a character in the middle of the night just because they were bored? Set up a few pranks to lighten the mood, Theodora and her "naughty/ mischievous" personality comes to mind here...)

I should be posting a few crack pairing (and beyond...) pieces here later, so in the meanwhile, to test the waters out, I'll be posting a mini-fic I wrote on a dare for another board here.

"So, what will you do now?".

The question startled Setsuna, both because of its bluntness and because she hadn't noticed anyone sneaking behind her. Instinctively, the swordswoman pulled her blade out while spinning around to face...

"Oh. It's you".

"This whole affair has affected you worse than I thought, Sakurazaki" Mana Tatsumiya commented, vaguely amused. "You are losing focus. Just let her go".

Sheathing her sword back, Setsuna grumbled. "What are you talking about?".

"God, you are horrible at lying".

Setsuna's eyes narrowed angrily. "Go look for a fight elsewhere".

Mana ignored the remark, sitting next to her. From where they were, the chapel was clearly visible below, the guests leaving while congratulating the newlyweds. "I'm not looking for a fight. There's nothing to gain from that. Just wanted to give you some advice. Free, even. If you didn't want to fight for it then, then you shouldn't despair about it now".

Setsuna averted her gaze. "Ojou-sama's decisions aren't for me to question. Neither she nor Negi-sensei have ever meant to hurt me".

"I know" Mana nodded distantly.

"Then why do you try to tease me with that?".

"Because you heart still hasn't accepted what your brain has" the miko said calmly. "Even Miyazaki's heart has learned to accept it. But yours hasn't".

"My heart's whims don't matter".

Mana looked at her, smiling. "They do when they interfere with your concentration". Without a warning, she poked Setsuna with a finger on the forehead. "An opening! Normally, you'd have blocked that without even noticing. You are slipping down. How do you expect to protect your mistress and her husband like that?".

"I--I--".

Setsuna looked down and away, biting her lower lip.

"You should cry" Mana suggested, dryly. "That's always the first step. Get rid of the baggage".

"I promised myself I wouldn't cry. Tears are for the weak. Tears are--".

She was cut by slender arms hugging her from behind, pressing her against Mana's tall, warm body. "Stupid girl. You already are weak where it matters the most. Cry until you don't have any more tears, and only then you'll be strong".

Setsuna hid her face in the taller woman's chest. "Please... don't tell anyone about this...".

"I won't" Mana promised. "This one is for free, as well".

The days, weeks, months and years passed quickly after that. Most of the class already had moved away after the graduation, but the wedding was the actual drifting away point. Kotaro and Natsumi would marry as well shortly afterwards, and went to make a life for themselves. Asuna and Takahata went back to the Magical World. Yuuna left after her father died. Ayaka had a financial empire to helm. Ako became a successful doctor, and Akira made herself worldwide famous at the Olympics. Even Sayo passed on to a higher plane of existence.

Only the seven of them remained at Mahora. Hakase became the undisputed leader of the research institute, while Negi continued teaching with Konoka at his side. Evangeline and Chachamaru continued living at the woods, with Eva every once in a while making token feigned angry protests at Negi for being unable to break the Thousand Master's curse. Mana and Setsuna would smile and nod knowingly to each other at that.

The miko had become Mahora's Security Chief, while the swordsmaster stayed at her friend's side, protecting her family as it grew, child after child. And through it all, she never had cried again. Not because of any promise, but because she didn't need it anymore.

Mana had healed her heart, in her own strange, tough way, much better than Konoka ever could heal her physical wounds.

Until that gray day of autumn. Mana would go with the last leaves of the year.

Konoka's best attempts at healing magic hadn't worked. Ako reaching to the best contacts she could get, and Ayaka's money could pay, hadn't worked either. The illness had grown to the point where it was painfully clear none of them could do anything but to say farewell.

Ako had said she wouldn't get another day, and so all the long gone friends came back one for one. The librarians, Chisame, Kaede and Ku Fei. The twins, the cheerleaders, and even Takane and Mei. All of them gray and old now, all but Evangeline and Chachamaru, who hadn't grown a single day older from when Setsuna had first met them. All of them next to her, next to Mana's bed.

Tatsumiya finally opened her blurry eyes again, slowly. "So..." she wheezed. "I see this is the end. I didn't want you to see me like this...".

"Mana-chan, you aren't--".

Mana placed a finger over Setsuna's lips. Thanks to her youkai heritage, the winged woman had aged better than most of them, looking nearly two decades younger than Mana. And yet, she seemed to have grown five years older in the last few days.

"No, I know I am. Otherwise, you wouldn't be all here...". She made her best to look around, blinking at a nearly morbidly obese woman in a habit. "Kasuga...? Kasuga, is that really you?".

Misora nodded, holding her own tears back.

"My God, you look like a whale..." Mana laughed a bit before choking in coughing, "I'd bet you don't make a lot of running nowadays... Inugami, you're looking good, too...".

Kotaro nodded his brief thanks. Like Setsuna, he seemed quite younger than all of them but Eva and Chacha, Natsumi looking painfully frail and small next to his frame. The freckled old woman looked all around cluelessly, barely recognizing her husband and Chizuru, and no one else.

"I am glad... you all are here, though..." Mana smiled weakly as she felt Setsuna squeezing her hand a bit tighter. "I'll give Sayo-chan your regards. Tell her you're all well...".

"Mana--!!" Setsuna hunched herself over her.

"Please, cry if you want... Remember what I told you that time, Setsuna? Well, I was half wrong... You didn't need to run out of tears. They never... made you weak at all...".

Slowly, she closed her eyes back with a vague, lingering smile. At the other side of a tearful Setsuna, Ako checked on her one last time, then shook her head to Negi and Konoka.

"Mana---!!".

They all let her cry for what must have been hours, not saying a single word. Until Konoka put a small, wrinkled hand on her best friend's shoulder, gently rocking her back and forth.

"Setchan... she's gone...".

Setsuna had not cried in decades.

That was a nice play for a mini. Very nice. Althgouh, perhaps because it's a mini, it leaves me with a sense of being...unfinished, and I can't tell why.

Which is good in it's own way, makes me look deeper. Ehh, mini is as mini does. It might help to go into those years and years just a bit, but nah. It's good.

That helps a great deal, to some extent. I tried replying earlier, but the Internet connection got cut off. I doubt I'll be taking the unpopular route, if that's what's gonna happen. Plot Armor and all that.

Well, I won't say anything about the parties' involvement other than that one of them sent Negi there, and he's not likely one to kill him.

To answer your question, the happy couple +1 will be staying in a private villa in Marbella, Spain's equivalent of Las Vegas. It's a party town filled with 'stinking' rich people willing to spend some cash. I give thanks to Piers Morgan for having done a tour of the place and then put it on TV.

I'm probably the weird one who likes to take upopular routes, just to see what I can up with, what I can take. I look at it as an excercise...like Alternate Blossoms, which I couldn't help but update.

Alternate Blossoms, Chapter One.

Classic unpopular route, that makes most want to shrink away and hide. I'll write for it though, and I'll make it work....enough of that however, I ramble. I knew the moment I updated, I.E, too late, that this would spark fire on some souls. This...will scare a lot of people.

My whole point though is to provide a problem that needs solving, like this one, and tackle it. You can probably tell as well as I that this one's big, and that it'll take a whole lot of water to put out this bonfire.


As for your bit, a Las Vegas equivalent? Oooh, I see posibilities already...I wonder how good of a gambler Negi is...or his wife for that matter? Ha ha! How about a little friendly competition, betting wise, against one of these..."stinking" rich people? All in the spirit of competition, I'm sure.

Yet, my mind ranges too far ahead. You said I helped you to "some extent." is there something else I can try to help yah with?

I would repeat what I said in Fan Fiction, but I know myself better than that. Most likely, I'll cave in and write, edit and submit another chapter for that by tomorrow and if not then than the next day, If I have time to type. I'm an impulsive writer like that...but ayi, I see mistakes, this is what happens when you write something in about twenty five minutes.

I have to say though, I always thought Chao looked a whole lot like Satomi...and the fact they were such close friends...it pulled on me since the beginning.

Eh, if only Satomi were closer to Negi, I'd put more faith on Chao being her descendant than Ku Fei's. Scientific talent of that degree just has to be hereditary.

They always say it is the slow yet steady progressing relationsships that one had to watch out for...still, Negi hardly gives the girl more than a glance, true enough.

Gah! I never recieved five PM's in one day before, people are attacking me about both Alternate Blossoms and Resistance Hertz, although, the feedback is generally warm. *eyespin*

There is this one person though that keeps trying to push me into making Resistance Hertz into a Negima Neo story...although, most likely, it's going to borrow ideas from both for sheer lack of Satomi work in the original...but trying to tell them that is a different story...ha ha.

As for the story itself, I just need some material right now, and it's coming in my head...now actually...and there, I knew it would happen. I have updated...now if only fanfiction would give me the link...there we go.

Have more trust in yourself! The story is coming out quite nicely, I think. No need to get nervous yet about its quality, IMHO.

So, is Negi going to stay with Satomi in this continuity, or will he still live with Asuna and Konoka? For the sake of variation, I'm hoping for the former.

Edit: I don't get it. Why is my story marked as 'not found'/'unable to find' in FF.Net?

Edit 2: Never mind. It seems both my story and yours are back there. Odd how they disappeared from public sight for a while, though.

FanFiction has "problems" with newly added stories, although those problems have increased recently do to whatever updates they are planning. I notice little new blurbs of information they are telling my, like saying that links cannot be sent through PM's, something I already knew, and the fact they got rid of the "MA" rating...how long ago?

It'll find your story...once it realizes it has it still. It's still listed on your profile at least. If it takes longer than you think it should report it to them.

Speaking from personal experience, on a large website such as this, the admins and mods are probably trying to renovate the site while still keeping it active. (A production effort that's more trouble than it's worth if you ask me.)

I was actually planning for him to stay with Satomi and whomever her actual roommate is, just for that very purpose, variety...and little bit of opportunity for character bonding...

In manga canon, she apparently lives alone. In Negima?!, she was roommates with Chisame.

Maybe it's an egoist request, but I'd be thankful if you went with the former for your story, since I have a Negi/Hakase/Chisame retelling of my own I might like to try some day.

I was actually originally planning that, for them to be alone together, but then I thought more practically for the need to have another there...after all, Satomi is famous for having a "lack of common sense." Something you seriously need in Negi's case, or he'll run circles around you.

Of course, while this might be funny to portray, I think the need to keep Negi in optimal form prevails here. I did briefly think about Chisame, but not much more than a secondary force. My more prevalent thought was Chao being another dorm-mate, perhaps providing some internal tension during the Chao arc right then and there, possibly even drastically changing the whole line of the story...he he....
