Erm, do not catch what you are trying to ask?

oh, sorry for being slow. Frankly speaking, I do not know the hidden meaning to that. But it does seems to be as "name of the characters" as I know that naming of characters is supposed to have certain significance in the plot itself and how the characters will "look" like.

Perhaps something like Shindou Hikaru and Touya Akira in Hikaru no Go.

Shindou being "progress" ; "wise"
Hikaru being "bright"; "brilliant" and indeed he is a brilliant GO player?

Touya being "tower"
Akira being "bright light" (bright light at the top of the tower? another brilliant GO player?)

another example will be Yagami Raito and maybe Teru Mikami in Death Note.

Yagami being "the night God"
Raito being the "light"

Teru being "tell"
Mikami being "my kami ... my God" - as Raito's follower?

or it can simply be Pen Name? lolz

Anyway this is just pure speculation. Might be all wrong...

^don't answer the question with vague speculation... if you don't know, just don't answer.

"Name" is an industrial term in manga field.
It means rough conte sketches that outlines each panel, where the speech baloons will be, the contents of the baloons themselves, as well as the general idea of how the manga is going to be drawn.

I like this manga, I really like the idea for this manga as it could give example of life for mangaka to people who wants to be one. And I hope that next chapter will be interesting as well.

Aside from the cool-looking characters, there's something about this one that just resonates well. If I have to explain it then the part where the characters explain to each other that they're smart was the best. It was rather, well, smart. And certainly not something many manga does.

Shonen manga - Naruto, Luffy, and other shonen idiots
Shoujo manga - stupid female protagonist whose one good point is her "honesty" or "innocence" or "hardworking"
Seinen/Josei manga - adults and their boring issues, and even the most glamorous life is mundane

Bakuman - we're smarter than you and we're going to make it big, get over it.

Sure, the characters might be wrong about their own intelligence (many teenagers do have an inflated sense of their own sophistication, the poster included), but the attitude was impeccable.

I'm on.

Can't wait to see what their manga will be about, but I am guessing that their manga will also be called Bakuman?

I've been wondering, this manga is basically a story about the authors.

They probably became really good friends and thought, HEY LET'S MAKE A MANGA.

But I've been wondering, exactly how much content is actually censored by Jump. Maybe they wanted to make a really accurate, cynical and yet somewhat hopeful portrayal of a mangaka's life. But they can't because Jump wouldn't let them present the true natures of pain in life in a shounen magazine.

Just like how sometimes hollywood screw things over in movies.

Chapter 4 (Parent and Child) is up. I'm really starting to enjoy this to be honest, each chapter keeps on ending just when your really getting into it

yup. somehow, it will juz put a smile on your face.

Spoiler:

But I do have this bad vibe that, if, going at this pace and plotwise, this manga wouldn't go too far chapters out. They need to add some interesting elements to it, real soon.

Yeah. I can't say Bakuman isn't interesting, because it is and it manages to differentiate itself each chapter thus far. If Death Note is anything to go by, Tsugumi Ohba's pretty creative, so I'll continue following this.

lol Tagaki was rejected by the milf she isn't interested in guys like him. Wonder if Mashiro told her that they should do it with each other "I'll be like your making love with my uncle the person you love!" would she accept it? She seems the type to be fine with it "okay sure! to fullfill my everlasting love!".

Guess gotta wait for the doujin to see that happen heh.

Ok, so first he rants then he bashes romance genre series(Ch3, pg10), talking about how looped-shounen like DBZ/Naruto/Bleach is much genius(Ch3, Page14), lord give me a break. Next one and I am dropping. Rants, flames, you get all of those in this series; author need to keep his opinions out seriously.
