Haven't played this game in god knows how long... might have to re-install it. Do you really need to purchase HE (gold ammo) to be anyway successful? I honestly don't remember that from back in the day.

Can't remember what I have now I think in the beta I had all the Russian stuff unlocked but they reset it, and yeah, never quite got back to what it was.

edit: Also, are the SEA servers actually in SEA? Although it seems a moot point, since my account only works on the NA servers and I don't particularly want to give up on anything I already have.

You can purchase HEAT or APCR (gold ammo) with credits now, though at an expensive rate. I pretty much don't run any HE at all, 95% or something AP ammo use for me, and the remaining is for base capture point reduction or "gold" ammo.

I see. Well guess I could deal with lag.

Hopefully I have my T-44 still. T'was a nice one back in the day, most likely superseded out the arse by now though.

Heh... @sumi, just read your sig, need to fix the formatting though.

@Mow, Ah, nice. Well that's good to hear... looking at my account I still have ~14,000 gold sitting there. Looking further, seems after reset I had only unlocked a few US tanks too down to T3, excluding the M6A2E1. QQ.

It has the T-54's 100mm LB-1 now, and a new engine, I think since beta. It's not in bad shape. They fixed up the ammo rack a bit too.

Aye, most of us are on the American servers. Join us, we are a fun-loving lot!

I am currently working on Russian stuff myself (going for a IS-3). Just recently unlocked my Konigstiger.

Mmm, might just give up on the US stuff myself and go the Russian stuff. Although the German E-100 could be a goer, if nothing more than it its hilariously oversized.

Damnit, was able to singlehandedly kill a E-75 by myself in the Panther (basically got behind him and set his engine one fire twice after tracking him), but I was disconnected before the battle ended (in victory) and the results are lost to me.

That has to be the most hilarious attempt and success I have witnessed thus far.

Imagine when Japanese tanks are active...

Good Panther battle:

Despite all the supposed odds of a fragile Panther, I survived and managed to get both Steel Wall AND Spartan.

Bad StuG battle:

With everyone going to city or center, I was left alone in the valley. Still, I single-handedly assaulted my way through, not receiving a single hit. However, it was all for nothing, because my team got slaughtered and the base captured. As you can see, I even managed to get more experience points than the winning side's top player.

Teal/turquoise, eep.

We had briefly wondered if you could hide behind a TOG because its gun is up front and the hull is very long in the rear. I thought I had a screenshot of an ELC AMX behind one, but I was mistaken.

This is just a screenshot of an ELC AMX behind a KV-1. I suppose a guess can be made about the TOG based on this comparison.

So, I have a Lee, and I'm currently enduring its awkwardness on the way to getting a Sherman. Been putting some of Ascaloth's training to good use, but hugging corners only does so much when even the second gun's muzzle is far too short to peak round said corners...

Oddly enough, I'm having a lot more luck with it than normal when compared to the Tiger. That's one ungainly beast, but at least I'm having some success killing stuff with the 75mm. I can't wait until I can get thet 88mm though, as I'm tired of bouncing shots even while outflanking.

^I just moved on from my Lee (for now) to the Sherman, so good luck!

Got to put Ascaloth's trick to use a few times myself.
