Well I just found something interesting regarding the videos. Even though VLC plays them fine, Windows Media Player actually doesn't. In fact, it acts just like the game does--it plays only the music for the opening, and fails to even start the yuuka video (I know the yuuka video has no sound, but it doesn't even start the timer on the video). I googled some stuff and its probably a codec problem, but even after downloading several different codec packs it still doesn't work. What does the game use to play the videos; does it use a media player? Even though VLC is my default media player for avi's it doesn't change anything. Do you guys have any special codec packs installed?

I think it's the other way around. You have a special codec pack (K-Lite).

Options:
1) You could uninstall K-Lite.
2) You could disable K-Lite with Never7.
3) We could try to provide a version of the videos that K-Lite does like.

Ah, so codec packs can also cause problems as well? Ill try removing some and see what happens.

well I deleted all my codec packs and other random stuff and it finally works now. Thanks for the help.

Oh btw roger, earlier you said you couldn't get the game to work in fullscreen. Well I found that, when starting up the game, if I change the Direct 3D T&L HAL to Direct 3D HAL, the fullscreen mode works for me. Have you tried that? Also 16-bit mode fullscreen works if its set to Direct 3D T&L HAL.

The first-pass translation was finished back in August. There's still a second-pass translation in progress.

Correct. I finished the first translation in September, but I decided to retranslate it because I wasn't satisfied with my first translation. Currently, I've retranslated the Common Route, Yuka's Route, Haruka's Route, and I'm almost done with Saki's Route. The preview patch we released contains the translations for the Common Route and Yuka's Route.

Okay, I just finished up the translation last night! There's still editing left to do, but if all goes according to plan, I hope to have the full patch out by the end of August!

Editing's all done now. All that's left to do is the Quality Checking of the last two routes. Expect the full patch out by the 10th-16th.

Awesome, thanks for the translation! I installed the patch in the same folder as the preview patch, will the old system data/save data work? I tried to load an old save file and that broke it so I'm assuming that doesn't work, but does the old system data work? (In other words, do I have to replay the Yuka route?) It says in the ending list that I got the Yuka ending and the CG's are still there, but could there be some problem later on? One thing I noticed is that the skip read lines option doesn't skip anything.

I would replay it just to be safe so that you don't get any errors.

Either way, you should replay it, simply because I revised some lines in the Common and Yuka routes over the last four months since the patch came out, and so some lines have different meanings now, and you may also see some other things this time around.

alright sounds good. Should I delete the old system data?

Edit: one more question, is there any problem with installing patch in the old folder as long as I delete system/save data?

Yes, please do so.

EDIT: Not to my knowledge, no.

You don't have to delete system data, so you don't have to replay Yuka's route or reunlock CGs. You shouldn't restore a save made with the preview patch with the full version.
