I gotta say after watching this I'm going to definitely miss these characters. We need more leads like Watashi and Y. They don't have to be sardonic on the inside and sweet on the outside but cleverness and rag-tag bonding is nice nonetheless.
After special 01 though, Watashi's intelligence is definitely not as high as I'd like... After special 02, her grandfather's intelligence is also called into question. |

Well, I'm late to the party. :P
I watched two episodes before, but then got sidetracked by other things... Finally decided to just start over and rewatch, and so far I've watched the first two episodes again. I'm glad I come to this forum to read up on people's thoughts after watching each episode, because I really would've missed the social commentary (well, the obscure parts anyways). Ironically, as I'm supposed to be good at this (I'm planning on taking English Literature as a major in university... So whoever commented in this thread back then when the episodes came out, thanks a lot!

24 minutes of Watashi cooking various dishes and sweets, with the fairies providing the cooking ingredients and utensils. It'd be like a one girl Iron Chef, but so much more awesome. Bizarre possibly sentient ingredients, non-euclidean plates, heck the colander is probably Turing complete. Just listening to Mai Nakahara snark and deadpan away as Watashi would be plenty. |

But the author has produced a little more than one novel per year, so we would require a little more than two years for a second season? Everyone in favor of throwing the author into a prison cell until he produces enough material rise your pitchfork and torches!

Well, the specials ended on a good note. Watashi returned to her normal size, but is still missing some brain matter, given that the number on the spoon is lower than it originally was.
For two-minute shorts, they were quite entertaining.

For some reason, I couldn't find Special 6. And so I thought that Watashi had a bad end at the end of 5.
That she is still missing some intelligence is quite alarming, since most people in the village depend on her. Which reminds me, which novel do these shorts come from again?
