I could only understand a little of what was happening in this chapter. The chances of the dog being the Prince is like 50/50.

well we had our side character blacksmith MC turn into a cat.... wouldn't be surprising if the Prince turned into an animal too.

So... the pacing in this story seems quite odd. The title doesn't seem to match the actions of the story since

I was expecting a little more worldbuilding, ala Ascendance of a Bookworm. How the characters develop later, or is this just a fluffy series?

The writing is not that deep, you won't find too complicated circumnstances nor their foreshadowing nor their consequences; this is mostly fluff.

The author sort of does a good job at hiding who is going to end with who, and also on hiding if the MC's family is going to fall to ruin or not, so it's not like there is nothing to look forward to.

Kururi goes to the field behind the greenhouse and sees Iris covered in mud playing with a dog. When she notices that Kururi is watching her she immediately goes into denial mode about how it's not a dog, Kururi tries to say otherwise and that it's against school rules to have a dog on campus but Iris is denying these dog accusations so hard that Kururi has no choice but to agree with her that it's not a dog. Skipping the in between Iris named the (so not a)dog Alfredo, Kururi thinks it's a good name because of how obedient it is towards her but later changes his mind because of how it just flat-out ignores him when he tries to order it, so now he secretly calls the dog Goro in his mind. chapter ends with Kururi, Iris and Alfredo going to his room so he can make a stylish knight-like collar for it
