Koyori did mention about their parents in this episode, but I couldn't figure out what she was talking about in detail.

Aono, Yorito, Mayuko and Takeshi have no parents for obvious reasons. In fact, Mana's household is the ONLY one that should have parents, logically speaking. Unless we get to visit Sae's household for some reason.

It's been 4-6 hours since I've watched this episode, but I think Koyori said that their parents will be coming home late and Mana said that it's usually like that.

well with this half of the story is solved :3

but first things first...the fight between matsuri and aono...pretty much standard stuff with aono throwing deadly papercuts left right and center and with matsuri dodging for her life...
matsuri tries to hide in a train cargo but aono springs her trap...causing some steel beams to fall on top of her...



and here we have a half dead matsuri...aono tries to give her the finishing blow but stops as her inner child yells for it (lol literally) ~



she then leaves and yorito arrives with mana...he has a spaz attack and is taken away by mana...while matsuri still tries to hide from him...



a little intermediate before the real action picks up again...takeshi finds the location of mayuko but when he gets there he only sees matsuri...that is because mayuko went onto the train before matsuri who was trying to take the bag of food she forgotten...



then theres another fight...sheesh they just wont give matsuri a break

neways yes theres the fight...but more importantly is takeshi's flashback...so the truth is revealed...heres a shot of young takeshi and young mayuko...



it seems that he has a crush on her...but on the day of her birthday she was killed...and he looses it...



but while he was about to leave saying his last wishes he sees a bloodied up mayuko behind the trees...he is overjoyed to see her alive but then she tells him that she is a yaka...matsuri had came by and made her into a yaka...she then walks out of the shadows telling young takeshi that she is no longer human...(i think at this point she wanted to die...)



but he wont allow it to happen...he tells her that he will find a cure...no matter what it takes this is his promise...



and with the cat out of the bag we continue with the fight...matsuri is outsmarted and this happens...T.T



and while takeshi was about to give the finishing blow mayuko jumps in front and stops him...why!!!! (says takeshi in pain) ~ he thinks that if he kills matsuri mayuko would turn back...but that isnt true...mayuko puts her arms around him and tells him her real wish...is to see takeshi's smile again...*im in tears ;__;*



we then see a flashback of the good moments she has had with him all this time while he has been growing up...

well ive been outdone again! so the title was referring with takeshi and mayuko...a pair i have totally overlooked >.< but boy was it touching...all that is left is for matsuri and yorito to have their happy end

Wait I'm confused, Key Writer, Happy Ending....WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?! This guy comes from Key staff, Key doesn't do happy endings, they kill the characters in order to make the audience cry, and yet this sounds just as potent. It always pays to try something different for a change. This writer> Jun Maeda. I forget his name but good job for breaking the trend.

Yes, Aono and Matsuri parents should've been long gone. If Yorito is the original, then his parents no longer exists neither. Mana's parents are just never around, but atleast they exist.

Didn't we have an entire episode dedicated to how Kayori broke out of the hospital?! How she couldn't tell Aono blah blah blah.

For a second there, I though, "Oh look a review of the episode! Yay..", but then I noticed you just like to write sentences with a little list-thingy at the begging. Why do you think Aono was even thinking Kayori is there?.. also, Kayori is Aono's cellmate, is she not, who is she going to stick with, Mana-san or Aono-oneesan.

This has been bugging me, but this episode seems to push toward the obvious,
As mentioned 'a yaka' revived Mayuko, so it's safe to say all yaka can revive the dead. So unless there's some time-limit on this I think Mayuko could revive Takashi when he died, if he died earlier that would be more convenient I guess~

Try to cut Matsuri some slack. I don't think it has anything to do with selfishness, more with the feeling of dieing alone. We know Matsuri knows more stuff then we would believe.

I still think Matsuri did something wrong, but I'm inclined to think the revival thing was more for Aono's own good then hers, or at least in equal proportions. (based on curent development) We also presume Matsuri is some kind of wondering yaka, but what if she's not.

The revival of Mayuko, by unknown yaka, was probably so Mayuko could live with Takeshi, not because she (the yaka) just happened to see some corpse ling around. But who knows...

Another big hint will be HOW Mayuko died and above all, WHO killed here. Because from how it looked, that wasn't an incident, it was a murder.
That may bring a lot of new elements to judge the facts as they stands. It's not explicitly said that Matsuri was involved in reviving Mayuko, and I'm tempted to think that Aono might have her share of responsibilities on the whole happening.

Matsuri also keeps having a guilty behaviour, so there must be a secret about her past which yet lies unrevealed (even there, I'd think it has more to do with Aono than with anyone else)

that pretty heavy stuff...even if it wasnt stated that matsuri was the one who revived we should all know what her personality is like by now...(yea doing unnecessary stuff ) ~ but aono has a reason to kill if a certain someone has been reincarnated into the family...but other than that ill just write it off as a clean "your everyday" murder case...

RAW impressions by me are titled "Preliminary Thoughts~". Actual write-ups based on fansubs are titled "Random Thoughts~".

As for Aono thinking that Koyori is with Mana, it would make sense since that is where Koyori also lives, and it would be unusual if Koyori was out of the house alone, so late at night.

if a person takes his/her own life and is revived becomes a yaka - that person died with bad feelings and
if a person dies because of other causes even if that person is revived doesn't become a yaka
is this theory possible?

But your theory would imply that Mayuko committed suicide, since she became a Yaka herself.
And from what we've seen, that seems highly unlikely

The show has some touch with reality.
In other words it tries to maintain believability.

especially the last part, when look at the mayuko flashback is so touching - good moments she with takeshi from little till now, when she say "my wish is, hope u can stay with me"... touching...my tear also flow out...

.another thing is, mayuko with takeshi, Matsuri with yorito...only left Aono...=.="...hope wont be a sad ending.

That's a pretty good theory IMO. Like why else would a Yaka be conveniently around to revive Mayuko like right after the murder?

That would be a tidy way to bring it all together.

Yorito reincarnated into Mayuko's family and Aono found him there. Aono killed Mayuko and kidnapped Yorito. Matsuri found Mayuko and revived her because she felt responsible for Aono. Unfortunately, that would mean that Yorito was kidnapped at less than 2 years of age since it's been 17 years since Mayuko's conversion and he looks young for his age.

But this title has a "healing" feel to it, so that scenario might be a long shot imo.

Unfortunately, that would mean that Yorito was kidnapped at less than 2 years of age since it's been 17 years since Mayuko's conversion and he looks young for his age.

Last I can remember, the whole family was killed.. no reports of missing people.

No, this anime has been so amazing lately because it really managed to draw me in. And in fact, seeing Matsuri persecuted like this is heartbreaking. Not bawl-your-eyes-out sad, but rather touching and riveting. I'm looking forward to seeing Matsuri rewarded in the end (sorry Mana, I really like you too!)

Original animes where you don't know how they develop have become so rare. And sola is a particularly precious example.
