GyaO accidentally leaked the info before it's supposed to go up on the 15th of November. The title of the movie is "Fullmetal Alchemist The Sacred Star of Milos". There should be a teaser trailer online on Monday. The Milos in the title is referred to as the hill of grief.

Teaser trailer should be interesting, and at least inform us on what the content of the film will be.

Any guesses on who the character designer might be this time?

I second that.
*bounces in reverse rhythm*

Hope it's not a duck, though.

Just a filler film. I'm looking forward to watching it though, because BONES animation will be fabulous (and there will be no stupid events from the manga).

Is that a werewolf in the trailer?

I really don't know what to think, though i won't pass judgment until i've at least heard a summary.

*sigh* I really was hoping it wouldn't be something like this...
The wolf thing looked alright but the people in colorful suits shooting lasers really threw me off.

Hm, it's interesting how the art style has Ed and Riza especially look like their first anime counterparts (not that I'm complaining! Riza's pretty again!) But it worries me that it might turn out like Shamballa now. And I agree, those laser-shootings guys were... a bit alarming.

I really dig the animation style they're going for here. Konishi is a pretty good animator, and it looks like the movie is going for a rougher and less refined look, which liberates the animation itself. The movement and lack of clean up in the line work reminds me a lot of Black Rock Shooter, which also had an animation style I adored.

As for the flying bird people... I dunno. It's really weird. It bothers me because it's the one thing in the trailer which seems really corny and out of place. The scarred alchemist dude and the werewolf both look like they would fit right in the FMA universe and make for great action scenes. The flying bird people do not.

I really like Kazuya Murata's work as a director too, and he recently just storyboarded and directed the second episode of Gundam Unicorn, so I don't really have any concerns about the direction of the movie. I wonder who's composing though. They're probably going with a brand new composer too.

That i won't be happy with, though then again i can't see Akira Senju's score fitting the material we see in the trailer, so i guess it might be the right decision.

I don't think it's that big a deal though. There are lots of great composers out there, and BONES usually picks pretty good ones for each project. Maybe we'll see Naoki Sato have a go at scoring FMA. I'll be happy about that!

I wouldn't be happy because Akira Senju is one of my favorite composers, and i love to hear new material from him. Then again i'd easily accept the ever so incredible Naoki Sato in his place.

*watches Trailer*

Well, at least the art and animation look great, which were really my only expectations for this movie. Ed at the end there looked pretty cool and considerably better than his usual round Brohood face.

As for the music, wouldn't mind seeing Ooshima Michiru come back.

You along with a lot of other people . I just wasn't fond on Michiru's FMA score at all, though i love some of her other works. Crazy, i know.

Just noticed something interesting. Ed's outfit design in this movie is his manga outfit from chapter 34 to 48. It's very specific because in the manga Arakawa subtly changed Ed's outfit after every major arc. The main design element to look for here is the collar of his jacket. It's a perfect match.

What is even more interesting is that these design changes in the manga were never followed through by the Brotherhood anime series. So it is entirely possible that this anime movie, at least in terms of design elements, is a filler/sidestory to the manga itself, rather than any of the anime TV adaptations.

Personally i'd prefer it that way . Nice catch duckroll.
