First episode is out today.
Seems like a full length show and we got introduction of the main cast so far from this episode. (cute female cast so far) There's a bit of action too but I wasn't impressed by the CGI. Asuka seems like a very friendly girl from the main cast. I think this is a somewhat peculiar so for the series but hoping it will surprise me soon. I'm also curious to know more about the other members of the "Crystal Radio Club"... Felt average for me so far, just nothing too special about it.

World building and characters introduction episode. Not much plot details revealed yet. But if we judge from the tone of the Opening, this seems to be a quite serious story. So, you girls from Radio Research Society has been doing a ritual in hope to get isekai-ed? Ha ha ha... There is no way that will work.... Wait? what? You're telling me that there is other way to go to other world without using Truck-kun service???? Turn out that if they do a ritual at 4.44 pm and correctly set the frequency of radio, they can enter the other world (or should I call the alternate universe) Based on what alternate Asuka said, 0633.0 is the frequency of original Asuka's world while other Asuka come from 0653.0 Other Asuka called her world: The world of twilight. I kind of remember from watching Kimi no Na Wa that "Twilight is not a day or night. The time is when the world blurs and one might encounter something supernatural" Maybe this show also use that belief as a base too. Main character, Asuka is standard energetic and air-headed MC. She's likable, I guess. The interaction between Asuka and her alternate self is interesting. There aren't many show that explore this kind of relationship. Among Asuka group of friends, I like Nana the most. Something about her character design and personality interested me. Anime seems to hint something abut her too. Actually, based on OP, it seems each girls seems to have their own problem. Let see what are their roles in this show. BTW, I love to see an old device like a crystal radio and the the legendary cassette players in this show.

Watched episode 1:
The yellow animals that want to eat people somehow gave me Yuuki yuna vibes. Anyway, still don't know what's going on... but I like the character designs and voice acting.. so will stick around to watch some more episodes.

Our heroines went into a parallel universe where the law says you need to marry at the age of 17. They also find another version of them there too. Ah, so this this show "different world" is a parallel universe where things are different from your home universe and other version of yourself existed. It is quite similar to "world line" concept of Steins;Gate but all parallel universe can be existed at the same time. You need one person to be the connect point between two universe, said person will replace other version of himself in a parallel universe. I assume that Seriousuka's red cassette player allow her to travel to different world without replacing herself. That was Seriousuka can followed Asuka back to Asuka's universe as different person. That Golden world probably some kind of a hub that all person from different universe can enter. ??? > Seriousuka native universe 633.0 > MCs native universe 633.1 > Golden world 696.9 > "You must marry at age 17" universe

I'm somewhat curious about the link side of this. If Nana has merged with the version of her that exists in this world what happens when she tries to go back? Is she going to split from the version of her in this world, does Nana disappear from that world entirely, or is she unable to leave that world?
Regardless it looks like the yellow rabbit apocalypse might be incoming.

Akanesasu Shoujo. First Impressions
Girl from the Red Twilight or Akanesasu Shoujo has become a gamble for me to watch, because I picked-up this title out of having watched the PV trailer without researching deep into what the story and plot elements are about.
Watching the slice-of-life, girl drama merging and intertwining with surreal, sci-fi, twilight world felt me to me that maybe this production was made by Troyca Studios, but nope this anime is actually done by a different studio. Honestly, I can't exactly grasp my feelings after coming to watch the first episode because I get the gist is that the girls by interacting continuously with that parallel world, then chances will run high that they might encounter other versions of themselves just like Asuka did in that universe. For now, I'll keep on watching before coming to a decision if the title is worth my interest or is a disappointment. |

I think I'll keep watching this. After 3 episodes I am still not tired by it and I like the girls. Hope they have plenty of hops to different worlds. Sure, the whole Twilight King stuff is basic 0815 stuff but whatever, as long as it's cute and adorable it is fine.^^

Nana's reason to refuse the marriage......LoL. If a girl refuse to marry me with that reason I probably hate my surname for the rest of my life. So, we are shipping Asuka x Nana now??? This ep. has nice 3D battle and music. I totally didn't expect Nana to transform to fight. She got some quick thinking and correctly assumed that she could transform into Equalizer (another radio-theme word) by using her own tape and Seriouska's red cassette. So, I assume that for the rest of series, our MCs will visit others world and each club members will get their turn to become a link and ends up transforms to fight. BTW, Seriouska has never mentioned about Asuka's friends in her world (and our MCs don't bother to ask that). Are they dead or alive in her world?? P.S. The scene with three Asuka in the cafe is gold.

Here we got the tropes for Akanesasu Shoujo. - In upcoming episodes the group is going to visit a different parallel world, and each of the girls will serve as the link while encountering other set versions of themselves in such parallel worlds. - Has yet to establish the motivation driving other Asuka to look into other parallel worlds. - Elusive third party has begun making moves on the girls starting with the fortune-teller and that Tomoya guy. - Drops of animation quality are not just bad but also abysmal. |
