Yeah i want a show like....Cardcaptor Sakura. I mean, not a heterosexual couple as the main focus of the story but two homosexual men as the main focus of the story and then some het couples. It seems like Gravitation and LOVELSS are like that.

Personally, what I want in a BL series is a good throwback (melo)drama, boarding school preferred, but optional. (I'm thinking something vaguely like Touma no Shinzou, which is about boy/boy relationships, but also has an excellent drama-suspense plot that is the main backbone of the series)

To be honest, I'm gettting a little (read: "very") tired of the goofy, shallow fluff that comprises 99% of the genre's anime efforts. Don't get me wrong, I have a guilty enjoyment of KKM, and I DO realize that this is a genre with a fairly steep crap:good ratio. Still, I often feel that more care is taken with a yuri series' mood (and budget! ) than there is with your oh-so-typical "slop it out, these chicks'll eat anything" BL series.

I don't mind if it's intentionally goofy fluff (Ouran Host Club's yaoi twins *laughs*) but I can see where you're going. When it's not fluff, then it's porn that thinks it's otherwise (Enzai). *muses* I've watched quite a bit of GL-tinted series, and I often marvel at the beauty of Marimete. Most of them are decent (save for Strawberry Panic, which seems to be the equivalent of Gakuen Heaven? )

Not sure about the other two BL shows (Angel's Feather and Princess Princess) Which is why I'm looking forward to xxxHolic. With the later developments that seemed to suggest that when it comes to the boys getting together, it's not a matter of if, but when. (Poor Doumeki. ) Though certainly nothing that concrete that would scare off viewers who're not into it, anyway.

But, as for Gakuen Heaven, I'm sure it'll turn out to be more pleasant than atrocious (that is, if one watches it with the right expectations ) It has got to be when the director for this show is so into this whole thing, that he/she got the seiyuus to pose like their anime counterparts in one picture.

Well, Ouran isn't really BL, and neither is Princess Princess. I'm really not big on CLAMP, so I don't follow XXXholic, but isn't that a seinen series? No law against BL in seinen, I suppose, but I think it does make things a little more unlikely that anything will actually come of it.

I don't think Gakuen Heaven is a sin against nature or anything, but I'm just completely burned out on stuff of its type. I want a solid BL drama with decent production values for a change.

Ah, I phrased it wrong - should've said BL influences. I consider the BL jokes acted out by the twins to be hilarious, and it's not too far off to think their charm even extends out to their viewers. So I consider it a little harmless fanservice. ^^

As for Princess Princess, now this is a series I'm not sure how to take. Though not actual BL, I think this series has a BL vibe, considering how the mangaka (Zaou Taishi, since I don't know her other penname) seems to support one main pairing in this series (I don't know about this series, but I heard there's a smooch somewhere ). I understand she's not sure whether to make it into a shounen ai show, but... yeah, I'll just wait for the series.

Both Production I.G and CLAMP considers Holic to be shoujo. As far as the main pairing goes, it's indeed a little vague (guy > guy > girl) though the humorous irony is that the girl has shown herself to be a total fangirl of holic's potential BL pairing most of the time. *laughs*

You should give this a try and see what sorts of wonderful mythical touches ClAMP comes up with. ^^ I thought Tsubasa was a waste of time, but Holic, now that's a different story.

and that's ironic because i didn't like gravitation and from what i've heard loveless is too problematic (their relationship is actually "loveless"), and i REALLY liked sukisyo.. (which does have only-boys in it.. )

i liked sora and nao so much seriously! beautiful couple.

Oh, I absolutly adore gravitation (My first shounen-ai actually) but LOVELESS I only got embarassed by their relationship so I quit watching at episode 2... Sukisyo looks rather...I don't know. Just never felt like watching.

didn't it bother you the way yuki acts to shuuichi and that shuuichi was always so forgiving..?

and sukisyo is very good, why not try it?

I first saw the anime which I loved, but when I read the manga the anime kinda felt silly compaired to the manga. But no, I didn't bother. I think the two different personalities just made gravitation so lovely and unpredicteable. Because Yuki WAS nice to Shuuichi, he just didn't know how to show it. During the series Yuki developes more from the harsh unsensitive guy to more like a man. (Or something) I strongly advice you to read the manga (And it's so funny. )

I might try Sukisyo. We'll see. =)

But... Why can't I download the file from here? http://aarinfantasy.edwardk.info/ind...5D.avi.torrent

Gravitation is awesome. Loveless is good. Yami no Matsuei is cool too. Sukisyo.. wished I never watched that.

I'm all for plot when it comes to BL but I always get disappointed, although I have pretty much learnt how to cope with it. But, I still very much want a damn good BL anime one of these days.

Um, acquiring Gakuen Heaven now, just for the sake of it. (I hope it's just 13 episodes as listed on ANN). Princess Princess is funny though the story is amazingly silly. :P

Actually, there's probably more love between the main characters of "loveless" than all of the other series' main characters that you mentioned. The romance in Loveless is my personal favorite out of every shounen-ai TV series I've ever watched. It's really sweet... the main characters are just in denial.

^Yes, Ritsuka is adorable.

On topic:
Oh episode 1 is actually pretty decent. At least there isn't any obvious hint that EVERY guy in the school is gay. Who buys that anyway? >< Looks like it would be good drama after all.

Simply said, I found Sukisyo lacking in the plot department. It's too simple and generic to the point of being silly, and the fillers doesn't help either. That is all. Of course, it is MY opinion.

It is at first, but then they both start telling themselves things that indicate that they accidently fell in love even when they shouldn't... the control and abuse thing is just Soubi's fault ^_^ he's a total masochist...
