Some interesting bits from Wikileaks. No surprise, some of the Arab countries don't like President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and the US think PM Silvio Berlusconi is very vain leader.

Putin wasn’t quite the strongman portrayed in the West — little hold over the huge, and largely unaccountable, post-Soviet bureaucracy.

North Korea was able to smuggle 19 advanced, Russian-designed missiles, capable of delivering nuclear payloads, to Iran

This is just a great example of "never EVER write anything down you don't want published later".

The whole world seems to be run by idiots... maybe it always has been.

Watching Australian parliament live now, and it seems to prove to me that politicians are mainly flubbing. Sometimes, I would rather have government run by technocrats, like Hong Kong, than most Western democracies.

OH WAIT it's free entertainment. Well, keep the parliament!

This is particularly noteworthy.

Perversely, the sheer size of the dump — a mountain of gossip, intrigue, high-stakes policy and lowbrow humor — may ensure that some damaging revelations that might have been front-page stories if leaked one by one get lost in the shuffle.
It really is kind of irrational how Assange is publicizing how he's making these massive leaks...but he leaks so much stuff that actually dramatic revelations are overshadowed under the mundane or obvious.

Its more objective that way. Things are less likely blown out of proportion. Picking specific content is like quoting someone in a way that the original context is lost.

It's funny how quickly they blame the US for such an unrefined attack on two professors. I was under the impression that they would rely on other, more sophisticated means to sabotage their nuclear weapons program. The attackers could have merely been angry students. It's so easy to make bombs these days especially.

That they did, but when you consider how Iran and the US are in conflict over the nuclear weapons they have, it's not all to hard for them to link the two together.

Great! First Aunt Marge is the "Iron Lady", then now Aunt Angie is the "Teflon Lady"!

So after which metal what will the next female prime minister be named?

Iran and the WORLD are in conflict over the nuclear weapons they have.
between the U.S, Europe, Israel, the arab world (Syria excluded), and the various groups inside Iran, there is no shortage of people who wish harm to Iran's nuclear program.

All the more reason for them to link the attack on the professors on the US and anyone else who wants the program dismantled. It really could've been anyone and Iran's biggest enemy right now is the US and Israel.

Is there anyone ( outside Iran of course) than want Iran to have Nuclear weapon ? (and please don't say Republican, for getting a reason to bomb them )
