Okay. Is it bad that I've written exactly five paragraphs of the second chapter of Blood of the Mother and already have half a page of notes?

I mean, everything is explained within the story canon, but my god, I feel the need to justify everything, lol.

Why not do away with the notes and just answer peoples' questions as they ask them?

I have considered it, but they're mostly for my own clarification above anything else - notes on what I need to adjust and keep in the story and stuff like that.

I either keep that stuff all in my head if there's not many, or make a separate document and find I remember everything anyway.

Meh, I doubt it will go anywhere.

Well, Noriko and Nono are part of the equation that make up Subaru. Either Nanoha or Teana could be her onee-sama, I guess (Nanoha being a less bitchy Kasumi-type and Teana being a Lal'C type).
