Episode 1 was mostly about introducing the MC pre weirdness... and now with Episode 2 the weirdness has begun!

And its pretty dam good. I was actually blind-sided by the tiny alien in a human sized robot suit being the obvious beta love interest. I was expecting her to be a vampire hunter or something from fantasy.. not sci-fi

The humour pretty good too, I especially like the hammer jokes and implications that our alien had learned of there memory altering properties from manga... suggesting their some very good metahumour jokes in the pipeline.

Youko a nice female lead too, adorable in her idioticness

I have no words. It was the most blatantly obvious thing to me about the class rep's design. It's this giant metal... thing sticking out of the back of her head. I figured one would kind of have to notice that.

I guess I didn't pay much attention to the class rep before. Plus, the top of her head is out of the frame a lot.

Until the reveal, I never noticed it, either. Then again, I don't really pay much attention to details usually, so a lot of them just fly past me, even if they're very obvious. I kinda envy people who can see everything at first glance.

Better than the episode 01 but still average. I am getting used to vampire's voice but despite her Kansai, i still think that it doesn't fit this "cool beauty". Sensei's voice doesn't fit too from what i heard from her.
I still doesn't understand why they didn't go with manga's art style? In order to attract more people because manga's art style is not attractive? But what if the anime flopped in japan (which is the case right now)?

I hope this at least give a boost to manga's sales...

EDIT: if it keep flopping, we might as well forget about a second season... and about the best part of the manga.

I thought it was some kind of hairclip or ornament.

As for noticing it, I recall Nano from Nichijou who desperately hoped no-one at school would notice the giant wind-up key sticking out her back. Of course they did but they were too polite to mention it...

The impression I'm getting (very strongly) is that she's not supposed to be a "cool beauty"; people just assumed she was because of how little (and how carefully) she talked, and how she stayed so much to herself all the time. But the truth was she was just avoiding people and talking carefully and as little as possible to avoid revealing the truth about herself, and that's she's actually kind of a cheerful dimwit.

I believe she likes to call herself a "cool beauty", but she can't pull it off. It's all a facade, which is what makes her hilarious a lot of the time.

I know that and that's why I put that in quotes set in the first place.
She will try to act like a "Cool beauty" with a certain character later too, But her Va's voice leaves to be desired so far. (that's my opinon)

She actually pulled it off the entire time before she and Asahi started talking with each other.
As for whether she pulls it off later on too I'll refrain from answering in either direction.

Still not used to her voice btw. Far too high pitched imho

Just judging from how things went at the end, she's trying to cling to the relationship they had as kids (where she picks on him because she likes him) because she's afraid to change their relationship and risk losing it altogether. The problem I see is that they aren't kids any more, and this kind of thing gets harder to brush off the older one gets.

They revealed about the glasses this soon?!(EDIT: I am talking about Fuku-chan) Even Mikan herself wasn't supposed to know about it before the chapter 24. They have also changed a lot of things in this episode besides the order like the fact that Aizawa is taking Oka's role. How many chapters are they planning to adapt in only 12 episodes??
