[Manga] Boruto Chapters Discussion Thread

Just came across the news Kishimoto will be taking over writing duties starting next chapter. They claim it was planned that way from the start, but I doubt it. It's not like Kishimoto knew Samurai 8 would totally tank, and I don't think he could have written two series at the same time. So it feels more like Kodachi got the boot.

On the one hand, it doesn't surprise me. The series has been really bad.

That said, I not only don't trust Kishimoto to save the series given where it is and the foundation that's been laid, but I expect him to ruin the one good thing going for it (Salada).

Hopefully Sarada being a Uchiha will save her from Kishimoto's usual writing regarding women.

Biggest surprise here is Kurama knowing what nuclear fusion is. I'm surprised anyone is familiar with that term.

Also Naruto's new form gives him such a stat boost he can take effortlessly track things even Sasuke can't. It gives him life draining punches, but at the cost of his life. I imagine Boruto will save him though with Karma or something.

Being female as well as Sakura's offspring might be enough to offset Kishimoto's love for the Uchihas.

So the question is, with Boruto awakening the whatever they're called alien demon thing in him... will it protect Kawaki and Naruto, or side with Isshiki? Or fight them all and take Kawaki for itself?

Well, at least this time someone who know own series, so if him ruin it will be at lesser degree.

Considering Isshiki wants to feed Momoshiki to the divine tree, I'd say him siding with Isshiki is out of the question. Isshiki is also a lot stronger than him, so it's in his best interest to get rid of him now.

Huh, so the Kawaki with karma I saw on the pics was just a clone. How is he going to get his karma back then? Maybe they're going to somehow to split Boruto's karma in two and he'll get half. This way they get power and Momoshiki can't come back.

We still don't know how heavy consequences will be, but yes, shit's doing down.

I guess this is Kishimoto's way of putting a stop to the "why don't Naruto and Sasuke just..." arguments. Naruto would be left in a severely weakened state after the stunt he pulled two chapters ago and Sasuke has now lost almost half his arsenal.

Only one. So he could sacrifice his Magenkyo Sharingan in order to get his Rinnegan back. Either way, he still loses Susanoo.

Although Kawki doesn't have karma anymore, the transformation his body underwent didn't disappear. Makes sense. Unless Momoshiki was fooled, Isshiki is confirmed to be gone for good.

I liked the strategy Kawaki used to bring Boruto back. That said... couldn't Momoshiki simply have used a suiton jutsu (he can use Boruto's vanishing rasengan, no reason he can't use the rest of his arsenal) to extinguish the fire instead?

Still think Kurama died. We'll know for sure next month. That would leave both Sasuke and Naruto heavily gimped.

Aren't Bijuu immortal? I don't know how long it takes but it was said they pop back into the world after a while if they're killed. So I think it's just a temporary farewell. Unless Baryon mode is the one thing that can kill them for good.
