the mustang would be a much better car if it was significantly lighter, then it would be very good, but its about 1k lbs overweight to be a serious autosports car asside from Drag. Of all domestics honestly the people who have gotten it right are the higher end corvettes, light weight, highpower, very nimble, perfect.
fox body was a major step in the right direction, this new overweight 200 horsepower crap...not at all. |

In either case, for once, I agree with you...The Mustang has become overweight, but you can say that about most any mass-produced car in America...The only reason why cars are getting heavier instead of lighter is because of mainstream conveniences, such as your commodities like AC/heating and sound systems, and safety features such as airbags and those bigass mandated crash bumpers...The Mustang is a mainstream car that appeals to the masses, so it's not going to get the same kind of enthusiast-friendly lower-production car like the Corvette is, but even the Corvette isn't a true enthusiast's car (Save for of course the Nurburgring-stomping ZR1 )...No mainstream car from any country of origin is an "enthusiast's" car because the market is dominated by the consumers, and more than a majority of consumers aren't enthusiasts... ...of course, that's where aftermarket comes in... Exactly why I said that any mass-produced car in America can be considered heavy...

It's funny how the G35 Coupe, despite being a slightly-heavier sports luxury with the same chassis, can out-handle the 350Z because of it's slightly larger wheelbase and more balanced weight distribution...I've always liked the G Coupes better than the 350Z, and I have a distaste for the excess that's found in luxury cars...
I don't know much about the G35's predecessor the G37, but if it's like the G35 but improved, then I like that car over the 350Z too...

Not really. With the old EVOs, potential buyers who could see past the crap interior were put off by its rock-hard ride. The latest iteration of EVO has gone mainstream without losing its character. |

you can get a skyline in the us, ofc assuming you have 30-50k to get a motorex /bond released r32/33/34
the r32-r34 skyline is pretty terrible compaired to the FD or jdm evos/stis though on average (were talking the 90's variants), not as nimble, just good at going fast in a straight line, something a supra crushes it at. thats exactly my point, the Evo is a WRC car, its meant to be a rockhard ride, the point is to be a cornering machine, not a luxury mobile. g37 was a step in the right direction, but they shouldve just imported the r34 -_-. |

Thats a pretty huge dream ^^. Even in my eyes thats something I would put into the make a wish foundation. I've actually seen one at a Hot Import Night and there was a Bouncer like person next to it making sure no one messed it up.
I thought 350s were called Skylines as well and not only the G35's but I might be wrong. |

Nimble, I don't know, but when it comes to handling and pure lateral G numbers, the Skyline GT-R had class in it's hey-day... No, what is an Infiniti G35/G37 in North America is a Nissan Skyline in Japan, and what is a Nissan 350Z in North America is a Nissan Fairlady Z in Japan...
