lol how long since I laugh this hard while watching anime, and the opening is so damn catchy, I like that big-ass fireball in the opening

Best part of episode 06 has to be the opening scene. I laughed so hard at that little piece.

One of my favorite bits so far is probably Ep. 5's opening segment.

"So, what did you do with the Sunshoot?"
"I think I put it in the hardware box a few years ago."

Man, the whole mantis-villain angle cracked me up. It's such a stereotypical scene and the whole 'go to a foreign country only to end up being a convenience store clerk' thing has such a realistic streak to it. Reality is hilarious.

I must say I'm impressed by this Evil Organization's medical coverage.

Other evil organizations will leave you to rot. Probably on par with Dr. Evil's employee benefits.

The full OP theme is awesome. It really does sound like a toku song, and the song coupled with it "Tentai Senshi Sunred no Theme", wouldn't be out of place either. Definitely one of my favorites this season.

If you look at the OP song of the show carefully you find that it hinted alittle bit of back story on how Sunred and the evil organization Florshiem used to be before they become the way as we see them now.

-It starts off with Sunred and the Florshiem do what typical Heroes of Justice and Evil Organizations do.
-Sunred beats up Armour Tiger to save Kayako, who is then moved by Sunred's 'heroic' action and after that they hooked up as seen in the couple photo.
-Near the end we see Sunred sold off his bike and change into his normal T-Shirt and Shorts as he walks away.
-At the end we see how much Sunred's bike is sold for.

My speculation on the end of the OP part:

Well, the price of the bike keeps on dropping every episode ^^;;;;;
Also Sunred was in his T and shorts when he beats up Armor Tiger.

That's some amazing observation. Didn't know that.

I think the OP could be real too, since there's hints everywhere that Sunred is taking the villains more and more lightly since he's so godly at fighting.

I always asked this while watching tokusatsu as a kid. If you want to counquer the world why not leave Japan?

All the transforming heroes are there.

Forshiem being a big organization gets beat up by heroes on a regular basis.

Probably each branch office has one.

It's b/c the monsters can walk in public to go to the nearest convenient store to buy the cup-ramen flavor of the week and not be harassed. Unless you're a zombie, you can't do that in other countries.

Florsheim had to downsize. Its off shore offices were mostly closed in the mid-90's despite its near 100 year history within the United States.

My speculation on the end of the OP part: Spoiler: When Sunred hooks up with Kayako he realised that compared to Kayako's monthly salary, being a Hero of Justice doesn't even earn him a single cent to protect the people and the city, which is considered true in most Tokusatsu shows. By selling off his bike and probably his gears (except the helmet), he more or less ceasing all activities as a hero of Justice unofficially and lives off as a freeloader at Kayako's House, doing stuff like housekeeping and errands for his girlfriend. With Sunred activities stopped, Florshiem's activities dropped dramatically and degraded overtime. Because in typical Toku shows, it is impossible to take over the world as long as the hero of Justice is completely defeated. Surprising even after Sunred's inactivity, he is still in good shape can lay heavy beat down on Florshiem's monsters. The reason is probably that in episode 1 it is hinted that Sunred's alternated occupation is a gigolo. So he has an obligation as a gigolo (instead of a defender of justice) to keep fit, I'm pretty sure that in common sense no normal women would hire a gigalo that is fat.
