Another pretty good episode, seems the series is back on track. Lots of things happening but it didn't feel rushed.

Tokisada...maybe this is not the last we've seen of him. He was about to explain his "sacrifice" to Haruto and Ryuhou ("this was the only way. if i failed..."), but seemed disturbed by something, and then he said "forget it, this has nothing to do with you".
Then his speech at the end was directed to Yoshitomi. What's up with all that? It's like there's some untold backstory here, since Tokisada didn't get any, really. Not to mention he seems to hold a grudge against Medea, whom he called "that woman".

Medea doesn't have any reason to keep him alive though, unless she can somehow mind-control him or something.

I was wondering the same thing about the Aquarius cloth. I guess the curse didn't work where they were.

Anyone else noticed that statue from the anime which featured "Athena giving Excalibur to the most loyal saint" behind Ionia???

I like how they only show Paradox's boobs instead.

EDIT: there's something I don't understand. Mycene says that the Pisces saint had never showed itself until now, so much that all other Gold saints believed that there wasn't even a Pisces Saint. Now, if the only one whose identity unknown was Amor, then who were the Aquarius and Scorpio saints? It doesn't make any sense to me because if Mars wanted to gather all Gold Saints, why would he do it if there were 3 of them missing?

because people with the 7th Sense are not exactly common. He gathered as many as he could, but in the end the Scorpio and Aquarius Cloths were left without a Saint.

Out of all the "Gold Saints" I guess only a couple are real Gold Saints with 7th Sense.

What the..! Breasts in place of faces? and the loser Schiller only featured by his hand as he died . also, WTF is Gilgamesh doing in there?

(I have this feeling that the maker of that list really hates Omega. Just look at those ridiculous shots s/he took to represent some characters )

Oh anyway, the list kinda forgot Leo Ilias, Cancer Sage, and Pisces Lugonis .

Yeah yeah.
A Omega hater is always like that ...
I have a friend who said he didn't even care about the episode 27 and 40 ... O_o
With that, how you can even look at Saint Seiya Omega.

Actually, only Tokisada and Sonia did lack the Seventh Sense and were empowered by their Cloth.

The Aquarius Cloth being its own Gold Saint?

What's next, a Lion being the Leo Saint?

Well, those haters aren't open minded... On their childhood Saint Seiya was awesome... Nowadays, it requieres more deep and cohesion, or something more attractive to be something to remember to the current generation of children and young ones...

I think Omega tried to focus more on character development, something around the lines of Lost Canvas (LC, IMHO, has a well written story with characters with a more proper depth and backstory than SS) Don't get me wrong, No one of the adaptations is perfect, they all have their flaws (as well the source) and even if it has depth and a well written story, it doesn't mean it will appeal to people...

I'll simply say that Omega is just an attempt to make Saint Seiya to appeal to a new audience on an era where ninjas a pirates are popular so, is only natural that Omega will differ to SS on many ways, and be so different that the people that loved SS won't find the same things and hate Omega just because of that... It's natural evolution and effort to stay up to date.

It can't be trying to appeal to pirate lovers, they didn't bring Geist back.

Yeah, Omega is a sign that Toei realized that while old-style Saint Seiya will never appeal to new fans, regardless of them being kids or not, the universe created by Kurumada still holds some potential.
Because let's face it, an anime based on Next Dimension will only please old hardcore fans of the franchise, especially since Kurumada's narrative didn't evolve at all (and his art actually got worse). And while that fanbase may be still devoted and big enough overseas, it doesn't seem to be the case in Japan.

That said, i think Omega is still way more true to the original than Lost Canvas, in every possible way. Whether a good thing or not, is up to anyone.

Agreed, Lost Canvas is different compared to the main series, and I am glad for it. LC’s plot is actually clearer, characters have more personality and the story is more interesting than what Kurumada wrote. I just hope that they never animate ND so that I can pretend that Lost Canvas is anime-canon as well as Omega. Let them make an anime-original story depicting what happened between the end of Hades Arc and the beginning of Omega. Hell, they can insert Overture movie in it.
