A note for readers who are also posting in the anime thread. Remember, Myne's real identity has not been revealed yet in the anime (beyond the quick glimpse in the OP). When referring to her, please use the name "Myne" until her real identity is revealed in the anime.

For S1, I'm certain it will ended with Church Arc as Church Arc is ideal checkpoint for S2.
S2 itself could be ended with Spirit Turtle raid (another logical checkpoint to end the season).

Given that LN01 seems to be getting adapted in 5 episodes, if the following volumes get adapted in 4 episodes each, it could go up to LN06, which I believe to be said Spirit Turtle Raid Arc. I've only read LN01-04, I'm mostly following the Manga, which is currently on said arc.

Is the Author changing the plot for the Manga as well?
Since in the recent Manga Chapter 51, Naofumi and Co arrive to see the head of the Turtle already been cut off. While in the LN, it was Raphtalia & Firo's combo move that did it at the first time (WN also had it same). Last edited by Huh...?; 2019-01-19 at 06:14. |

Then yeah in the Light Novel also she dies. Not sure if the Manga would keep the same or not (currently, the Manga is at the Turtle Arc, so quite far from that point). As for the reason behind waves, both the LN and Manga plot haven't reached that point yet, so no info. |

Rather than changing the plot, I'd say the author aim for different progress toward end. My guess the author did it because anime now exist while LN being LN. Assuming Spirit Turtle is marking the end of S2 for anime, it could be done so manga can stand by its own.

Like a lot of things, Atla & Fohl's characterization is further expanded upon, get extra screentime & more time to shine on all new settings as well.
Some notable ones are on (already English released) volume 13 where they actually go & spend time in the Shield Hero worshiping demi-human nation of Siltvelt where the two was from.

In the OP for the anime, there is a shot where 5 people are shown, but I can only identify 4 of them.
From left to right: - Merchant Guy/Business Partner - ??? - Blacksmith Uncle - Alchemist Granny - Slave Trader So who is that woman? Does anyone recall who she is?

Can someone clarify who is "Shirono Mamoru" in Volume 20.
He seems to be a Hero with similar gear style to Naofumi. Could he be the "Armour Hero", maybe? Also, new character in Volume 20 include Rein and Horun (Horun looks a lot like Ratotille). Also it seems that Motoyasu unlocks the Spear in Volume 20 which plays the central role in his Spin-Off series. And finally we are getting Volume 21 in February, with a new girl who looks kind of similar to Alta. |

Reading the LN version, finally. Am at vol. 4 now. This volume should really have the subtitle "Stormtrooper's academy Guide for Protagonists and Antagonists: 'Never confirm if someone you just killed is actually dead' Edition". I heard that it's starting to really diverge from the WN after this volume.
BTW, is it true that in the LN version Keel is ACTUALLY a feminine male instead of a reverse-trap? I read something about someone's gender being changed in the LN version but I don't know who that is refering to.

I guess what you must have heard is about Keel's concept during WN writing, were author mentioned that he initially didn't have any plans to focus on Keel's character (so basically he thought of leaving Keel as a 'feminine boy'). But his character clashed with another male character the author was going to create, so he decided to give Keel a quirk (in the form of a reverse-trap). |
