About Ollerus being a jerk, I don't really think he is.

I mean, I do get that beating on the Sisters was pretty shameless, but he still needed to get Sogiita, and for a good reason.

The 50~ kids were probably going to be safest in Academy City, but like it's been mentioned, there is noway of guaranteeing that they wont be treated in a way similar to how Accelerator was. He needed to get across the message that ''mess with these kids, and I'm going to use my particular set of skills on you''. Not only to the scientists but, more importantly, to Aleister.

And honestly? I thought that in the end, Sogiita ended up benefiting from the experience. He needed to have a taste of what he put others through so he would be humbled a bit and not grow to conceited (because contrary what he might yell ''guts'' isn't everything )

I'm not really that sold on a Touma/Accel fight with Ollerus. It strikes me as being something to come out from a very contrived situation just to have him fight one of the two.

As for this volume, IMO it's similar to the Norse/Kanzaki SS. In that the really interesting bits are few and far in between the beginning and mid-sections of the story, but the most exciting situation happens at the end of the volume.

There's no reason for Touma to fight Ollerus, a man who has given up ultimate power just to save a kitten? You'll be hard press to find a reason to fight him especially Touma, but at the same time it also means that Ollerus would never be a main protagonist

BUT, it would be interesting to have Ollerus do a quick exchange with Aleister in one of those 'risk my life to buy more time' scenarios. Both of them uses mysterious unexplain powers.

I don't know if it has been mentioned before, but I found a small inconsistency when reading SS2. September had 5 Fridays, meaning it started either on Thursday or Friday, so the 3rd Friday had to be either 15 or 16, yet Kuroko was admitted to the hospital the 15 early morning due to the injuries from the remnant arc. So she couldn't have told Uiharu off for trashing the info.

Now, don't think I was intentionally searching for inconsistencies, I simply was trying to put the timeline to figure out what was Mikoto looking for. And since it's just as the Remnant ended she probably was trying to confirm that everything was over... it would be a funny twist if the level 6 project was terminated for good due to Uiharu actions in her attempt to stop the hacker.

Honestly Ollerus is in a similar situation than Aleister was before. The entire magic side is after him apparently. He knows too much, much like Aleister did, and considering his interest in Aeons and his Volume 22 cameo at the end, he will appear in later New Testament volumes as either the big revelator-in-chief or somebody that is in between Touma and Aleister. Perhaps someone than can defeat both. For him to be willing to pick a fight with Aleister over the gemstones, he has to know some wicked tricks.

“There is no major difference between us,” muttered Ollerus as he relaxed. “One of us is aware that we wield an unexplainable power and the other isn’t. That is the only real difference between us. You are the delicate yet complex #7 that not even the Academy City researchers could do anything about. In fact, you’re a special esper that they aren’t even sure should really be classified as a Level 5. If you understood that yourself, you may have been able to defeat me.”

Is it me, or is Ollerus kind of talking about having an epiphany, altering your 'personal reality' and Awakening? For the guy who should have been a Majin to say Gunha could have defeated him if he understood his 'personal reality' better, that's... surprisingly modest

ALRIGHT people, Chapter one of New Testament is done in Chinese

Here's a summary:

Usual ITEM meeting like in the old days, where Hamazura fetched the drinks and everybody else talks. Mugino being back to how she looks normally is firing up Saiai's desire to get her hands on the same technology so she can shoot a film with those realistic 'make-up'.
Later they're all going to visit Frenda's grave.

Pt2
Accelerator and co's daily life. When Accel got back the first thing Yomikawa did was punching Accel's face in, and then hugged him hard. LO and Worst is playing a console game, and Worst pwnt LO easily - even with only one hand. LO tried to cheat by forcing Worst to lose using the Network, but Worst was built to deny LO's access.

Worst's clothes is some kind of Vietnam native clothing that Yoshikawa won from a lottery. LO's suspicious that the only reason that Worst is wearing that is to show off her bust size. Worst denys that, saying it's suppose to emphasise the waist and legs. LO thought of that since Worst is also a Misaka clone eventually LO will get that big as well. Worst skewered that dream by saying the Worst cloning process uses different chemicals, ie LO isn't ever going to be that big (Could just be Worst trolling LO...).

Pt3
Mugino's visiting Frenda's grave. The rest of ITEM is waiting outside for her.

Pt4
LO completely and utterly lost against Worst in the game. LO complains that she was distracted by Worst's chest for the reason of her loss. LO went to Yoshikawa and asked her to divulge the info that makes women's chest grow that big, and Yoshikawa replies since everyone eats the same thing Yomikawa cooks, eventually LO will get that big.

... Then a 'breast enhancing' machine fell out of Yoshikawa's pockets. Made by the same company that Fukiyose always buys mail-order stuff from. LO's furious that Yoshikawa's lying, and decides to try it out herself. Yoshikawa panicked and warned LO that her chest might blow up since she's not fully grown yet, but LO's not listening after being lied to once already. Yomikawa decided to confiscate the thing, and it malfunctioned as soon as she touched it for no apparant reason.

Accel asked Worst in a bored manner why isn't she joining that mess. Worst merely replied if it can even make Accel have that kind of chest then she'll consider joining in.

Pt5
Mugino finished, and ITEM decided to leave. Since the cemetery is in the 10th district, there's plenty of Skill-Out around, and 5 of them tried to rob Shiage since he has 3 other women with him. Shiage tried to warn them and make them leave, since he doesn't want them to get killed by the rest of ITEM.

Then Shiage found Saiai and Mugino is playing being 'Damsel in Distress', and making Shiage looking like he's acting like a hero to protect the girls to troll him. Rikou then latched onto Shiage and told the other two to get lost, he is already her's. It pissed off the Skill-out members greatly and Shiage decided to start running for his life, and Saiai somehow managed to peel Rikou off him as he ran off.

Pt6
Accel's watching TV, and the media is considering the possibility that the 'Golden Arms' in WW3 was just a mass hallucination. Then the idea was shot down when it was revealed the UN was dumping the leftover arms into the Pacific, as it somehow can rejuvinate ocean life.

WW3 only lasted 12 days.

Accel is wondering what the rest of GROUP is doing; he finally got out of the Dark Side, and he doesn't want to ruin all that by coming into contact with it once more, even if he still has the means to.

That meant he can't check up if Touma has survivied the war or not too.

Pt7
Yomikawa managed to persuade Accel to go out shopping. LO is coming along, but Worst has a problem. As she is the manifestation of the negative emotions of Misaka Network, she can only express negative emotions. Though Worst can't care less about Accel she has this overwhelming feeling of jealousy coming from the Network (and due to being a Worst clone she can't refuse ill will, hence the name), and yelled out she wants to come along too. When Accel asked her what's up with her, she said she doesn't know either.

Pt8
Shiage kept running. He decided when this is all over he's gonna spank the other three each 100 times hard for getting him in trouble, and his perv nature is already drooling on how Rikou's bare skin might feel.

As he made it over to the 7th district, he bumped into Mikoto, who just walked off listlessly from the contact. Shiage wondered what could possibly make Mikoto look that way, but decided it's none of his business.

After Shiage decided it's finally safe, he ran into Hanzou.

Intermission 1
A section about Skill-out and how Komaba used to be the leader of it.

General summary of what happened in New Testament:

Apparently the dark side is gone, Accelerator has threaten the higher ups to terminate all dark side activities. Thus on the surface, it seems dark side has stopped completely. But in reality, a new group of freshmen has been assembled to continue on the dark side activity. And there first objective is to deal with Accelerator and Hamadura.

The higher ups lacks a legit reason to kill them both. As individual, the threat posed by Accelerator and Hamadura aren't threatening to the point that the higher ups can just come out to crush them. So what should they do? easy, try to make Accelerator and Hamadura team up, thus making them into a deadly force of rebels, and the higher ups now have the reason they need to kill them.

This why Frenda's sister is attacked. She is remotely related to both Accelerator and Hamadura, thus a good means to pull the two of them together.

On the other side, the higher ups are creating new Power Suits that can fight like lv.5
