Oh I read that wong. I though he just said "Kanae Itou" not "Kanae Itou's Character". The former would be sacrilegious. The latter is indeed A+++.
"Balanced". Yes I agree, there's definitely a lot of balance to her plot.

it's definitely arguable that targeting a player who has never played with full strength serves is worse sportsmanship than anything that has happened in hanebado.

That said, I think this series is just more entertaining than Hanebado because Haruka is a pleasing character to follow. Nagisa on the other hand is not particularly likeable.

No, Narumi also felt the need to "teach" Haruka a lesson about aces. My first impressions were Narumi's got a stick up her ass. If I'm just comparing the first episodes of both shows, they both had me eye rolling at certain character antics.

At least Narumi wasn't visibly rushing her shots when Haruka wasn't ready or berating her inbetween shots. She even established a win condition for the other side of a single point and didn't have the first serve. If she didn't take it seriously, especially near the end their side would have lost. It was a match where the goal for both sides was to win. Not training where the goal should only be to improve.
