They skipped a lot of the labyrinth exploring. And no dress malfunction from Zena courtesy of the slime yet they show naked lolis(and Liza). Plus their levels are too low, more than half of their levels at that point in the LN. Skipping the exploring also cut off the EXP they gained? And they even skipped the house arrest and went to the slave registration immediately so they could end the episode with meeting the slave siblings. Talk about a rush job but 4 episodes a volume is a bit standard.

He already had the experience of doing that with the "agitators" earlier when that one priest organised the "Holy Stone throwing"-scam earlier. With over 10 times he should have the knack of doing it just right. Pity for the first few who might have potentially have part of their spine crushed or at least damaged due to Satou's inexperience

BTW, Arisa called Satou, as we usually called him, "Satou", in this recent EP4 of the anime. Not the "Satoo" we have been recently hearing.

Pretty blatant hint of her Japanese heritage. Of course that'll be obvious enough come next episode. So anyone else looking forward to the exaggerated reactions we're going to get in the anime thread when we "meet" Arisa for real next episode? I admit I'm looking forward to the "I KNEW IT WAS PEDO LOLI BAIT" it should be funny.

Speaking of which... it would be ironic if Japanese Arisa, before reincarnating, was a busty onee-san

It would mean that the Japanese versions of Satou and Arisa would be reversed: Satou would be interested in her (she was also older than Satou, around 40 or so), while she would NOT be interested in him, because he would not be a Shota.

Of course, assuming that would be their first time meeting each other in the "same Japan" in this scenario.

I am not going to lie I am greatly depressed with the anime adaption. I was hoping they would at least do the fights well but...

If people are trying to determine if they want to read the LN or Manga by watching the anime I think they will be greatly disappointed. Feels like Dragonar Academy all over again only Dragonar Academy was more watchable.

Team Pendragon is literately a version of the Knights of the Round Table. Satou is obviously Arthur, but what the rest. My guess is that Liza would be Lancelot and Arisa would be Merlin (yes I know he's not a Knight).

Keep in mind that this anime was made for Japanese audiences and they have different priorities and other cultural principles than Westerners. Those "eating scenes" seem like "filler" from the Westerner point's of view, but the Japanese really seem to like it, among other things.

I couldn't find a thread for the light novel, but I just got volume 4 of the english release. The sequence of events are very very different from the light novel. I have mixed opinions about it. Some of it was an improvement, but some of it, especially the latter half of the volume, gave Satou a much different characterization then at the same point in time as the web novel.

Anyone else following the light novel?

I don’t know if it’s just where I was watching it, but ep 4’s high class demon was being written as demon lord half the time in the subtitles and text.(don’t recall if they spoke maou...)

They were calling the high class demon Demon Lord. Even it's name was written as such, in katakana.

Spoiler for Spoiler: The fight with the demon in ep 4 was pretty crappy. Same if not lower animation, dialogue that does not even make sense because they are repeating lines from the LN while not showing the action that it is supposed to go with and the demon just stood in the same place the entire fight. They never showed any movement from the characters unless it was absolutely necessary. It almost felt like I was watching turn based RPG. If people are trying to determine if they want to read the LN or Manga by watching the anime I think they will be greatly disappointed. Feels like Dragonar Academy all over again only Dragonar Academy was more watchable.
