so.... they begin the show by showing us how bad ass current Recon Troops are...
Levi is so cool anyway... He's stronger than Mikasa then.. second half is depressing... how dare those four left Armin and Mikasa?!!! they should defend Eren together... they just forgot how Eren protected their ass and let them cross the walls when Eren evolved to Titan, it's little creepy I want to see how this Eren's matter will be solved... his father should take responsibility for bestowing such power to his son Last edited by monir; 2013-06-02 at 04:10. |

Wait, what the hell changed in 5 years that these Recon guys are just tearing it up like it's nothing? These guys are freakin invincible, taunting, laughing and having fun while fighting titans like it's a game.
Did you see how easily that Sasha girl killed that Freddie Mercury/Mike Haggar titan? In the first episode, they were devastated and crying on their return. Now they're like Dante or Bayonetta effortlessly taking these Titans down with enough room to throw in some style. And it's pretty interesting how they made the asian characters in this show so OP. It's cool and all and I am ok with it but now it seems like the Titans aren't even close the threat that the early episodes tried to portray them as.

There is only 1 Asian character in the show.
Also, in 5 years they probably had a swell in support and an influx if talented people willing to fight the Titans with the fall of the outer wall. So any veterans of the past few years would be exceptionally skilled at dealing with Titans.

Man, I knew Eren's dad was hella out of pocket since the first episode when he said "No one can stop a man's curiosity...".
That's kind of a creeper thing to say. I think the Titans are some kind of experiment gone wrong and Eren's father is somehow responsible and is carrying out the "research" that was passed down to him. Remember when that drunk dude was talking about how Eren's dad went around town giving people a "vaccine" for their illness? How do we know that he didn't give them some dormant Titan gene? That would explain how so many Titans came out the cuts within the towns. And that's why he high tailed it out of there when the Titans attacked, man I bet he is with the noble rich people and the king in the innermost walls. These guys are obviously not trustworthy, how come we have never seen anything from the king yet? He's like some dark, mysterious person. And like the mean looking girl said, why is it that the King gets the best fighters from each graduating class around him to keep him safe? It seems super selfish and super unneccessary considering that they were living in peace for over 100 years. It's not like the king was in any danger, so why was that type of system put into place? If I were to place my bet on something, I would say that this show is going to turn into some class warfare thing. Where the higher ups in the inner district orchestrate these attacks in order to cull the population of the poor people living on the outskirts. #OCCUPY WALL SINA

Likely scenario he discovered what Titans really are and what makes them tick. The Truth is in the basement and I'm speculating here... The solution to the Titans. Old Hannes thanks the doc for stopping an epidemic in Sagashina. What if Titans are a plague? Instead of infected zombies it turns its victims as mindless giants. What if the cure is in the basement? |

One of the poorer episodes of this show, and thats saying quite a lot ( in a good way) If anything, just because it seemed like not much happened. Great to see Rivaille in action finally though.

With Eren's transformation it does seem rather likely that humanity initially created the Titans. Then found that they had no idea how to deal with the situation . The people responsible get killed and no one really has time to even think about how this all happened. I wouldn't be surprised if Eren's father somehow got to the bottom of this and figured out the truth. Thinking that the only real hope for humanity is being able to become a titan and just massacre them.
Going to be some interesting discoveries in that basement to be sure. Though Eren might need the rest of his body to actually get there... Will say the coward commander was outstanding. I don't think the VA could have played him any better than that.
