The career of a pop idol just isn’t the path of easy leisure and adulation Yuuya expected…

After a particularly lifeless concert appearance, Yuuya meets a girl backstage. She’s dressed to the nines in a colorful outfit, she’s full of vim and vigor, and all she wants from life is to perform. There’s just one problem: She’s been dead for a year. This is the ghost of Asahi Mogami, the beloved singer whose time on the stage was tragically cut short, unless… If ghosts are real, is spirit possession really that much of a stretch?

The first episode has aired on Hidive. The English title is Phantom of the Idol.

Yuya is a lazy piece of scum who wanted to make easy money by being an idol. When that doesn't work out and he's about to get fired for being lazy he meets a deceased idol that still wants to be an idol. He strikes up a deal with her to have her possess him when he needs to work, so he can have an easy idol life.

First episode was pretty fun. The audiences reaction especially that of the few fans Yuya actually has when new and improved "Yuya" comes out was funny.

The crazy fan scenes were sure something, a look into obsession bordering(?) on mental illness. I did like the dichotomy of the guy and guy with girl possessed personas. The finale was underwhelming from a plot perspective, the ghost girl didn't even get to move on and I wasn't in it for the music.

Well this was a fun watch between a lazy idol and a bunch a crazy fans (fill sorry for those restaurant employees) Asahi who can take over the body of Yuuya changing ZINGS and making them grow
