Lailah has been around for quite some time, it wouldn't be all that surprising that she knew a lot of them (Seraph). |

First Normin appeared this week, besides a massive shift from the game. What remains the same are the key events, locations and characters everything else is basically brand new and makes it worth watching for people who played the game.
I love how they introduced Attakk here, massive shift from the depressing or sad way they met in the game. |

Without spoiling anything, I'm legitimately curious to see how they handle Alisha from this point onward. The next episode is named Alisha so it's probably her time to shine (I mean, having a whole episode "dedicated" to you certainly means that something will come out of it, right?).
Do you think Alisha will join Sorey on his quest or will she keep doing what she's doing right now --- seeing Sorey from time to time while doing her duty-related stuff? It seems that we're reaching a turning point. The first cour is ending soon and I got a pretty good idea what kind of climax they are going for. |

The Berseria episodes already introduced us to Exorcists, which are the Berseria-era equivalents of Zestiria's Squires. It'd seem weird if Squires aren't at least brought up, but you are right that the Squire concept was more connected to gameplay than story.

Wat what? Why? Having the flexibility to switch two seraphim characters sets gave the battles so much flexibility and made it so fun, specially since Sorey and his squire battle styles's also were sufficiently different (all balanced vs agility tank) so that it made sense to switch between which human character you controlled depending on the enemy composition.
Goddamnit, Japanese market. That's why you get all crappy JRPG's. You get one good one and you shit all over it.
