I don't think it's normal in that world, just this cast of characters that have been introduced (underworld types). I guess one could argue Polka could be weird because of his weird family, though I still find it strange.

Xiaoyu sounds too girly for my taste.

Anyway, Narita will completely not try to hide his shark obsession from this point on.

With how fast things are moving, the real intro should be next week. Which means we have a chance to finish vol.4 by first cour. This is good, faster we are right now the more episodes we get spend on the real deal in second cour.

I hate characters like xiaoyu. Those obsessed about serving someone but going against the orders the one they are serving thinking they are doing something good because of that but they are doing the opposite.

The part where he was listening in on them and trying to figure out which game they were talking about because everything related to Corpse God is outlandish was really funny.

well I didn't imagine that pen-san was a important character.

solitaire is awesome, we get to know a pretty secret symbol that only a few people know and he just showed it to the entire world lol.

it was interesting that the symbol looks like the empire symbol of corpse god world but it is connected?, let's see about that.

I've been saying for a while Corpse God's world and this are one and the same but I guess it's too early to say it's confirmed. The symbol might have been spread by another person who reincarnated here.

It certainly made it harder to tell if Hosorogi was male or female. His seiyuu is a woman but voices men and women alike. First name doesn't help, either. We know how ambiguous Japanese can be, I wouldn't be surprised if Narita made people assume he's a guy and is using the anime to sow doubt.

In any case, seems there are a lot more reincarnators / dimensional travelers out there than thought before.

Alright, we had three episodes in a row which felt like the big set-up. I hope things really get moving next episode.

Feels like there was some symmetrical docking going on during the shower scene but it was too blurry to see. Anyway, one more person knows the truth. She accepted it rather easily just like her grandfather. I guess the Shinoyamas are really open-minded?

The old school shounen recap was fun, and confirmed that Polka's hair was fully white before Corpse God possessed him. Not sure if there's any deep meaning to it.

Solitaire and Corpse God meeting next week? This should be fun. Looks like Fire Bug is aware of the other world, and otherworlders may be exactly what they are referring to as "bugs". I still wonder if Fire Bug is just one person remote controlling people through their phone or if they are a group. They were shown chatting, after all. I'm going with both.

Izaya is like... say Fafner from Ibusou if you know what I mean.
Their mental fortitude wasn't used to make them move forward, but used to let them survive under their broken life style that leads them to nowhere.
