Attn. Panda-Z DL'ers

it Seems StormD (no offense) made a typo on the main character
which in question is actually called 'Pan-Taron' however he changed it to 'Pan-Talon' for dictionary reasons

i decided to put up this poll to show him how wrong this name change is

and force him to stop making me look like a moron on his boards!

plus (with all do respect) get a better moderator
because the current one is grouchy like that night-shift post office lady on Animal Crossing

P.s. StormD, i got the hang of the .mkv format (sorry for bashing it)

There's no real way to know until there's an official romanization approved by the JP company, and this likely won't occur until it's licensed.

They may go for "Talon" since it's an actual word with meaning behind it

Though for subs I must say I can't really comment, I've started grabbing raws since the only group releasing subs is doing it in .mkv which only give me tons of lag (and the Japanese is eaiser to understand than SURVIVE!)

In Japanese, r and l sound almost alike, so there's almost no way to tell one from the other. Some people call Hale as Hare from Jungle Guu, Winry as Winly in FMA, the list goes on.
So, you're bringing up a moot point, really.

heh, it's funny, in Newtype USA they call Hale "Hare" with an accented E
and they call Pan Taron...Pan Taron
of course, Newtype is not always right at all: In all the Kaleido Star summaries, they spell the boss "Carlos", but when ADV's version was released, it was spelled "Kalos"
and then there's the whole Alucard/Arucard Hellsing debacle

Ok... you're slowly getting into my nerves you know...

Zephronite already explained everything... but create a topic about that? FFS, get a life kid... Just because AONE translated one of the FMA chars to Winry and Toriyama World translated to Windy on the manga should i make a poll about that to force the change on AONE? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I think there's a very important answer choice missing from this poll:

Who gives a shit?

And I don't think StormD has to do very much to make you look like an idiot, you've covered most of the bases yourself...

I found this thread searching for my name.

Edit: in the interests of demonstrating how amazingly prescient I am, I would like to call everyone's attention to this post I made almost a month ago...

The hell is wrong with you? Why does it matter? The fansubbers will use whichever name they want... this is a singularly useless thread.

@ StormD: Maybe you should call the character "FartingRedFox".

@ RedFoxy: Pan-Talon makes actually more sense. Take a spanish-english
dictionary and look for pantalón.

Please don't use these forums for your personal vendetta or for your whinging, which your 'complaints' seem to be (to me at least).

Closing thread.
