Too bad there isn't a Yuunagi yet, cause with the return of Space Battleship Yamato 2202, there is was use to be a class of battleships (Kongo-class) which now includes a Yuunagi that does some massive damage to an enemy fleet. If implemented and a 23rd century mod comes forth, than Kiyoshimo would have a shot at being a battleship. (36 cm guns).

March's new additions for the arcade version are ChitoChiyo in their AV forms, KitaOoi K2 (like the browser version, theirs are the first Kai Ni in the arcade one) and Uzuki.

Ooichi and Uzuki out together, huh.

Shinano as either battleship or carrier.
Tosa and Amagi-class ships that could be converted like Kaga and Akagi.
HMS Eagle that was a conversion from a Chilean battleship.
HMS Glorious, Courageous and Furious. Light battlecruisers converted to carrier.

IJN Yamato Japan's super carrier... This sounds so wrong... Also I think carriers fit through the Panama canal, while yamato didn't xD

Japan had no need to build to fit the canal. That was actually a reason for her large design. They knew the Americans were limited to the canal in practice (Montana-class goes against the idea because of concepts like Yamato existing).

US super carriers could not go through the canal. Not until the new locks were finished recently. Even then I am not sure if the Nimitz-class can go through there. The Essex-class can fit through that, but the Midway-class could not.

The ship was already mentioned to be a Japanese ship, and was sunk in an escort mission. Apparently all those clues point to Taiyou, which makes the most sense as Taiyou has been mentioned to be a class planned for Kancolle introduction over two years ago.

The tweet does say the shipgirl in question was originally a cargo liner (貨客船). Like what Lowe said, Taiyou seems most probable.

Not only that, the same tweet also mentioned that there'll be various types of new shipgirls introduced in the browser's Spring event =3

IKR? Between launching planes and firing torps, that'll be a lot of kicking for them

If I'm not wrong, news from the arcade website says that all five of them will be available from the upcoming arcade event maps. Agano and Noshiro will be available in both first and latter halves while Sakawa will only be found in the first half and Yahagi and Yamato only in the latter part. Interestingly, it seems the arcade don't offer reward ships for clearing events (or this one, at least) and all five of them are listed as drops (邂逅が可能です).

Another fun thing is that (assuming I'm reading this right) if the TTK clears the event on 甲, the medal will be featured on the dropped shipgirl's card.

Anyway I'm definitely excited to see them in motion for the arcade. ... Now where did that one player has gone off too... haven't seen them uploading any new gameplay videos in Youtube since the last arcade event. Busy perhaps.
