I'd have to disagree. I don't like the manga art style much, but it's acceptable--and at least the unmanned IS looks loads more threatening.

For example, in volume 2, with Ichika in charge of the girls in groups:

No, ancestors should be respected, right? Besides, end times would mean your children and grandchildren, so please don't get them in some strange grudge.

Nice going. That's an intelligent question. Now my 'intelligence value' should be rated at 50, right? I'm certain of it.

Just did them on a whimp, but there are better ones.

When it comes to romance anyway, because this isn't stupidity for sure...

Oh my, this voice definitely belongs to Chifuyu-nee. A black knight's song rings in my mind without conditions. On a side note, there's also another tune in my mind. It's called the Terminator.

its just that the more volumes, the more characters, the more points of view, roughly the SAME pages per volume, the less POV per character

That's not quite reassuring.

While reading the Vol 4 translation, I came across a little something:

At the same time, Ichika's other childhood friend, Houki, who since long ago thought that they were really close to each other, always felt some things that couldn't be said, swirling around in her mind.

Has the author twitted that his release has been delayed or something? His work usually comes every 4months.

So I did some random skimmings for the the novels and baka-tsuki translation, and I noticed some mistakes in the translation and my mistakes in Houki's thread

vol 2, this part

As for me, I don't really care whether I'm a representative candidate, but it's great to have a personal machine. I once accompanied Houki when she went to request one, and the paperwork alone nearly made me faint. Those are like, maybe 10 or so pieces of A4 paper? What's the point of writing so much...

The translation made it sound like Houki requested a personal IS, but the original text was "訓練機貸し出し申請" -Training Unit Lending Application- (Vol 2 pg 108 Chapter 2 6th line). And the anime made it like Houki can borrow it at her leisure, while the novel stated otherwise.



Even if Houki did applied for a personal IS, and Teh_Ping translation is correct, that shows how nothing is free for Houki, even the Akatsubaki (for Tabane's sake), and her freedom (because she was forced by the government to enter the academy). I doubt a 'C' rank student can even apply for one. It does raise a question though, how did Tabane knew that Houki wanted a personal IS, based on her 'attitude' during the phone conversation

And @Kira, Houki's aunt's name is 雪子 -Yukiko-, not Yukii (vol 04, pg 150)
