Late to the party as usual..After reading this thread from the beginning I want to thank (!) everyone and especially aohige for taking the time to spoil us with detailed summaries for this great story.
Fingers crossed White Fox wont screw this anime adaptation like they did with Akame ga Kill where they also started out with a fairly faithful adaptation but later on they just had to f***it up (..).
I always hate to see a great original story loose it's charm when others decide for whatever stupid reasons to butcher/change an already awesome story.

Akame suffered that fate because the Manga is still not over but coming close to that.
Most likely, the author revealed some of the key points of what was yet to transpire and WF worked with that for the Anime's closure.

WF, for quite a nice while, hasn't been disappointing me regarding Anime Adaptions, and I hope this time won't be the exception, with how great it's going so far.

Spoiler for Satella love is just too pure ...:

the 1st time Subaru meet satella Garfiel was with him. The two of them have a hell of a time trying to run and escape from her. As expected, having Satella running around was bad news. A lot of people die during the small moment she was let out. As for Garfiel, all while telling Subaru how much she really loves him, Satella brutally kills him. His body is torn to pieces and spread across the plaza.
As for Satella, a lot of information about her is revealed in these few chapters. We find out that she truly does love Subaru to an insane level. In regards to her appearance, Subaru is surprised when it's revealed that she looks exactly like Emilia. When Subaru kills himself to end that loop, Satella looks completely distressed over the fact that Subaru hurt himself. It's the first time Subaru notes that her insane love love aura she emitted fell for the first time. As he dies, Subaru tells the girl who looks like Emilia that he will save her. In his last moments, Subaru probably mistook Satella for Emilia since her distressed face looks exactly like Emilia's.

It's been hinted that Subaru's ability doesn't send him back in time so much as send him to an alternate timeline.

The witch of envy summoned him but about giving him return after death ability who knows ,It has been suggested multiple times that this ability is connected to the missing Authority of Pride.

Spoiler for Subaru as the main villain:

The Seven Bishops of Sins are named after stars. Subaru's name means "Pleiades" which is a formation of stars called the "Seven Sisters". Seven Sins for Seven Bishops. My theory is that the Seven Bishops are sacrifices for Satella's husbando. After all, a Witch that absorbed seven Witch Essences, and a Bishop that absorbed seven Bishop Essences. It's pottery

and so :

All the Witch Cult bishops are named after astrological names.
Betelgeuse, Regulus, Baten Kaitos, Alphard, Arneb, Capella, and Sirius.

Subaru notices the pattern and starts to suspect he has some kind of connection to the evil cult.
When Subaru first met Betelgeuse, he even mistook him for Bishop of Pride.

Dude I wouldn't take any spoilers that came out from 4chan without a grain of salt. Not only are there tons of fakes or exaggerated stuff coming out of that place (like with almost every adaptation). If you have any question it's just best to ask the peeps like Aohige, Larethian or Sasuke06 who are both accurate and proven to have actually read the work.

That actually makes a lot of sense, specially considering that the essences of the Bishops give him powers that are not what you would call good for the mental health of a person.

Wouldn't it make more sense if he was the Bishop of Envy? I just checked the pastebin, but I couldn't find the current one.

That said, can someone explain how this whole Witch Factor works and how Bishops are made?

I dunno about the Witch Genes/Factors beyond the fact they're require to use Authorities, but how I understood it

Spoiler for Witch powers and the Bishops:

is that the Bishops powers original came from the 6 Witches who Satella killed then adsorbed. According to Re:zero wiki Puck even commented that Satella in past after she took the Witch of Sloth's powers could for example manifest 2000 Hand of Gods/Unseen Hands. After Satella was sealed it looked like she might lost most of her powers at that point which they then transferred over next suitable hosts be it a human or any other races. The Bishop itself just looks to be a title held Witch Cult's hierarchy that is give to people have received a Witch's power.

That is all really know at this point since I'm not a source reader, but it is what I have able to gleam and rationalize from spoilers.

My theorycraft about Witch Genes is that might literally be genes that exist among certain people in that given the potential developing or inheriting Witch abilities. The original Witches themselves might simply normal women/girls they awoken to their powers.

And he shares many similarities to Subaru.

He also seem to have some means to see a little into the future.
He also relies on this survival tactics more so than his prowess as a swordsman (he himself admits he's not very skilled)

We also have yet to see his face.

If Subaru is some normal guy from Japan and Satella was a half elf witch in a different world, how did she ever fall for him in the first place? I mean its clear that she had to know of him before he arrived in the world.

Also on the whole WN/LN, WNs are honestly not that bad, I do find they tend to be a little wordy but honestly like some other people have said most light novel versions are just better edited versions of the WNs, but the quality is in the story not the actual writing.

maybe she fell for another Subaru from another time line /parallel universe or someone who do look like him lived once in that world but something happens to him dead ? erased from the world just like rem ?but we do know that satella forced herself/or was forced to become a witch, it will be funny if we end up knowing that all what happen in that world was because of Subaru

I insist in the theory that the universe will troll Subaru one last time, the moment he clear this "game", that is, when he is about to get his happy ending he will soomehow time travel 400 into the past and meet a young Satella before she becomes the Envy's Witch.
