Synopsis

Gats, known as the Black Swordsman, seeks sanctuary from the demonic forces attracted to him and his woman because of a demonic mark on their necks, and also vengeance against the man who branded him as an unholy sacrifice. Aided only by his titanic strength gained from a harsh childhood lived with mercenaries, a gigantic sword, and an iron prosthetic left hand, Gats must struggle against his bleak destiny, all the while fighting with a rage that might strip him of his humanity.

Warning: This manga is for mature audiences only, since it has sexual content and graphic violence (gore, blood, rape, etc). Definitely not for the weak hearted.

The 1988 Prototype chapter won a prize at the Comi Manga School Miura attended and the main series won the Tezuka Osamu Award for Excellence in 2002.

This is really awful.... I'm waiting to see the full teaser in order to judge this. I really hope it will look good because this pic scare me. It looked good in the 2 visuals above...

the CGI was predictable with the 2 previous visuals but it doesn't look good in this pic. I doubt it's Polygon since they have Blame! to do with Ajin.

EDIT: Apparently, the studio is "KURO." I searched about it but it looks like it is a new studio because I can't find anything about them.

This year's 11th issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal magazine revealed on Friday that the new Berserk television anime series will premiere on WOWOW on July 1 at 10:30 p.m. The anime will also air on MBS, TBS, and CBC starting on July 8, and on BS-TBS starting on July 9.
