This series goes right onto my guilty pleasures list.

I found the first episode very funny, however I'm afraid it might start repeating itself (probably won't). Also, sometimes the cuteness is just too much for me to bear. And YES, the blue haired girl is annoying!

And why a guilty pleasure? Because I'd rather not get caught watching super cute chibis in diapers throwing around hyper cutesy-wutesy baby language. I don't know how I'd explain it.

Today I fell into Potemayo's wonderful world of WTF-ness. It's adorable, random, and I can't figure out WTF is going on, but hey, it's cute and random! It's made me ROFL a few times, much like the first few L*S episodes and Zetsubou Sensei... I can't get past how bizarre this show is. XD And the cut scenes (with the ants and the spider) are really great IMO.

I see it's been mentioned before, but I, too, find the aqua-haired girl's voice strange and annoying. O_o; I thought it was like Seiko-chan's voice (from LoveCom) but alas, different seiyuu...

Well the show is really hit or miss for me especially with episode 3. I guess I just dont really have a interest in potemayo herself...Her design isnt really cute at all to me just wierd.

On the flipside guchuko is absolutely adorable and I love her antics...Everytime I see her I feel the urge to possess a plushy with her likeness.

I don't know but there's something about her voice that everytime I hear it + her rude comments make me laugh pretty hard.

Watching it a second time.. Potemayo doesn't strike me as cute so much as bizarre-looking. Oh well. Avatar freebies, only posting those that are asuki-safe.



It just occurred to me that it'd be really funny if the avas in which Potemayo is holding up the sketch pad and lowering it to reveal her childlike smile were 'shopped to be have pic of something vulgar or just plain weird instead of her drawings.. XD

I am a sucker for Christmas episodes in anime, so, I really enjoyed episode 3.

Spoiler for episode 3:

More Guchuko time = entertainment! It was so adorable to see Guchuko try to slice up snow. Also, the scene where Potemayo tried to give some Christmas party food to Guchuko added some nice holiday spirit; although, it's summer time right now. One thing I do feel sad about is that poor dog Guchuko nuked. Ok, I admit it, it was actually funny.

As far as Nene, I am dying to find out more about her! Call me weird but I don't find her voice that irritating like most of you (ok, it's not attractive, either ). I can understand her pretty good and the words she uses are little on the rude side (ex. dialog from episode 3: "Sonna koto kiitenaiyo bakaero - I never heard that before dumbass"). It makes me wonder why she is so aggressive! There has to be a reason. It's a trap!!

Honestly, it's just cause it's Rie Kugimiya. Her characters are very often a tinge psychotic and hard to understand and I guess there's a reason the voice is so ridiculously high pitched character wise. It can't be because they didn't want it that way as she's perfectly capable of not doing the glass-shattering voice.

Saw this for the first time today. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? certainly describes it. Potemayo herself gives off this Digi Charat vibe of having everyone think she's adorable when she is, in reality, vicious nasty evil incarnate.

And I'm finding a definite link between the Mikan-Sunao dynamic and the Kaorin-Sakaki synamic from AzuDai, only het -- in that the object of the tru8ly excessive crush doesn't have a clue that said crush even exists. In fact Sunao's mannerisms are very similar to that of a male Sakaki.

In answer to the uniform question: the main cast seems to e in the fifth or sixth grade, which is the last year of primary school. Uniforms at that level based on the absurd garb worn by Edwardian boys that age (seriously -- I'm amazed and self-respecting youth would ever be caught dead in those!) are not uncommon, albeit rather embarrassing in retrospect -- the male uniform of Tomoeda Private Elementary School in Card Captor Sakura was like that, which must have been troublesome for Li Syaoran.

By the way. inspiration strikes again.
