Besides, the US Open stuff was purely anime-original.

What would be more amazing is if when they show an expanded view of the court with both players chasing the ball, the players are actually at the baseline or behind the baseline. I don't mind all the dramatics of their super special ultra awesome shots, but at least amp up the reality factor a bit and make the rallies more believable instead of showing them just behind the service box.
And what ever happened to serve and volley? Does this concept not exist anymore? |

Wait so Sanada lost and is booted out of the camp ? :x And i was actually looking forward to his match D:
I had originally guessed that the concept of the Elimination thing was just to scare and train their mental strength , which was the name of the training. But according to the instructor-doctor-guy , he says they're out @.@ Also. What the hell Inui -.-

Seems like the dropouts are having way better/harder trainings than the ones that passed and stayed at the training camp.
Lead filled racquets were kinda interesting idea. Episode 11 It's a shame this anime didn't get better appreciation. If they'd put more matches and maybe a tournament or something.... anything but this half-assed training camp it would've had way more people watching it. This anime looks like it's just an opening act for something way better later, but this way we'll never see what. Spoiler for plot:

Well, the middle schoolers are improving. It's no wonder though since they have been training really hard. High school guys were really giving it their best with practically non stop trainings.
If anyone would train like that and survive it, they would be the best in the world with ease... Finally... time for middle schoolers to kick some butt in that training camp!!

The only person that actually looks like a middle schooler is echizen and his chibi friend. Everybody else looks like they're 17 years old or so. There's pretty much no difference in appearance between the middle school students and the high school ones. Hard to believe they're supposed to be 11-14 years old >.> This is my only gripe, apart from that I surprisingly like the show. Kinda like a shounen but with tennis magic powers instead of sword fights.

Black vs white!
Guess that training camp in the wilderness made them far batter players. Seems like having all the modern facilities still can't rival training in nature while making use of all the things it has to offer. Black team totally wiped the floor with them on Court 2. Well, at least they are now officially back to the camp. Nice final episode.
