Such sad news. : ( May he rest in peace.
What I saw in him...he really seemed like a genuinely good person. Humble and kind and with a good heart. My heart goes out to his friends and family and all those that knew him personally.

It is incredibly depressing when you consider he was "lucky" enough that his tumor was detected by chance upon a routine check-up last year.
I have no words for this, except that I hope he will rest in peace with Yamauchi and Yokoi. Frankly, not only he was way too young to die, but he contributed so much for Nintendo (hell, there is no way Yamauchi would have chosen him as his successor without any solid reasons). The Iwata Asks interviews and the following video really speak volume about this great man.

I was eating Doritos when I came upon this news, but oh god, I froze in place. So young! Not only that, but he has done so much, creating Nintendo Direct as a way to avoid the gossip media sites, leading the way to the DS and Wii, Iwata Asks... It's just... very shocking. I knew he wasn't in the best condition, but I thought at most he would retire, not... die, of all things.
...Oh... Wow. ugh. RIP.

Dang so depressing. Glad I got to enjoy his reign as Nintendo CEO. He brought me some fantastic times, especially all the years I've spent with the DS. A great guy that will be sorely missed.
