@Skane,

KyoAni probably put it there so that people like you can slow it down, pick it apart frame by frame, and realise that Tomoyo was there all along and was literally moving too fast for the human eye to see, so that people like you can praise their animation prowess further.

Nevertheless, that was a seriously nice catch. If you don't mind, may I use them in a blog post I plan on doing such that I can point out KyoAni's animation prowess to the skeptics further? (of course, I'll need them to be somewhat bigger than what you have right now.....nothing above 500 pixels' width)

EDIT: I opened the TWH-Sprocket sub just to look at that scene again....it IS possible to catch a glimpse of Tomoyo just before she pulls the disappearing act, but you HAVE to look carefully. She's pretty much translucent until the whole deal is done.

Er... no offense, but why are detailed cell frames and high frame rates being used solely as the caliber of animation prowess judgment here? Even skeptics cannot deny that if that's the sole judge, but the question here is using the animation prowess as a whole along with its storyboarding and sakkans of their key animators and such, right?

I suppose it depends on personal perception overall.

Eh-to...so you're saying that that particular Tomoyo scene doesn't fulfil those requirements?

It does, but that was one scene. And the point I was addressing the overall flair of Kyoto Animation, which undeniably is a strong animation studio especially in their douga, vibrant color template layers, gloss, key consistency of sakkans in all fronts, but they haven't exactly pulled any Trava Fist Planet, Noein, or Bebop in my opinion. Though to be fair, the type of show Clannad is, it's not the type that can take sakuga animation liberties like Noein, which pissed people off with their freedom by their animation directors.

It's off-topic though.

Well, okay.....where I come from, we call that "the whole package".

Hmmm, I think you and I have differing definitions of "animation prowess". Maybe I should use "sakuga prowess" instead?

And as for pulling off a "Trava Fist Planete, Noein, or Bebop".....I don't even know what they are save the last one.
You should tell me your points like I don't know anything.....'cause for the most part, I don't. I'm still a relative anime newbie.

It's kinda hard to explain... but I suppose differing definitions and perspective will have to do for now. It's not like we disagree at Kyoto Animation's ability to dish out well animated (( sometimes overly well animated without any real necessity )) scenes.

To get this back home, here's 2 pictures by yours truly.

Spoiler for NSFW:

Nice images~ Hoping for more of Nagisa's father, hehe!

...Which made me notice that there're not a single character with black hair? ^^;; Most of them in the range of blue and purple.

I've been looking for hours at Google Japan.
Seems like the web they had the 1920x1200 ones is on http://wallpaper.imkojima.info, the site is dead and I don't know Chinese to contact the webmaster http://www.imkojima.info

I was able to recover 1280x1024 though I would love the 1920x1200 or even the 1600x1200
Got them :3
