That's the official in-story reason. Using Hina's presence with Shirozakura to recharge. The more realistic reason is "to throw the Athena faction a bone and keep her in the story without forcing Hayate to make a choice".

By the way, anyone read c347 yet? Not much happened there, but Hamster was yet again so heart-warmingly cute. "Hayate-kun!!! Will you ever give it a rest??" was soooo funny ^_^

How can you not love her?
