Seeing as I know a fair deal on this due my brother's interest India's yogic practices and stuff, I guess she didn't realize that those people's bodies had years of gradual physical practice... just doing that outright especially at her age is just plain stupid...

They would need to talk to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

I'm all about giving the current Native Americans a fair shake and help in recovering from what the pioneers did to them but there's some level of fantasy thinking going on here (barring another cultural shift violent or incremental ... where its much more likely everyone on the continent will be encouraged to speak and act Mandarin or Spanish - including the First Immigrants (Native Americans).
