How do you input kanji credits in a video?

I was wondering if there's any way to put kanji text from an OP sequence into a video. Can anyone please help?

Use a UTF-8 .ass script.

It really depends on your system's locale and the font used.

If you have a regular WinNT-based system with set locale to English or something, then saving your .ass script to UTF-8 and possibly adding a tag {\fe128} infront of the kanji (or setting the last value in the Style line from 0 to 128 ) would do the trick. Also, you need to use a font that actually has the kanji glyphs. Arial is, I guess, one of those.

Again, if you have a regularly set locale. I myself have to convert the script to SHIFT-JIS so that VSFilter (textsub) parses it correctly, because I'm on Japanese application locale.

EDIT: I'm assuming you know Advanced SubStation (ASS) subtitle format.

Uh. \fe128 is only needed with old-ish Japanese fonts that don't have any unicode mappings. Also, Arial doesn't actually have any Japanese glyphs (although the variant Arial Unicode MS does), what you're seeing is font substitution.
