Nice episode, but there's so many quality moments and watching it on the crappiest RAW file ever (flv like last week) isn't helping, but I can't wait for my Macross fix any more so I don't care.

Enjoyable episode though

Just finished watching the raw (720p). A pretty hilarious episode.

Wasn't it shown on screen that Galaxy was pretty much destroyed?

Exactly.

Which is why I am ever-hopeful that the Fire Valkyrie is going to fly out of nowhere sometime and start popping off Speaker Pods.

o_o;

Animation wise, it seems it would improve drastically by next episode. If this is the manner of delivering filler episodes after a big bang, I prefer this than reusing footages from the previous and condense it as a 'Leon's Report' episode like so many TV series done it. Or heck, like the weird dreams Hikaru had on the Macross episode "Phantasm".

This filler episode is a small price to pay IMO to transition to the next arc if that's the case.

According to a Japanese speaker on MW the Dulfim (the ship from Galaxy we see docked with Frontier) doesn't know about the location of Macross Galaxy.

Anyone knows about ED of this episode? New one, Diamond Crevasse or Aimo?

If you ask me, the inconsistent animation wasn't THAT bad. Some scenes were actually pretty good, and the 'crappy' ones aren't really that crappy.

New uniform makes Ranka look Fat

Looks like Nanase's drawing of Ranka's costume came true- somewhat Didn't know they grew Zent sized food. Grace with her holoprojectors and video feed was a treat though.

Animation and art took a major hit this week [Nanase added a few cup sizes]. Not a problem, Alto getting pwned again by Sheryl balances it out He really is in an SM relationship with her. Being in close proximity is enough to cause him great discomfort and physical pain. Sheryl derives great pleasure tormenting him.

Looks like the earing blew up with his ship. Alto looks set to be the butler/slave for life.

So this is the equivalent of Code Geass R2 Episode 05 excepting that that one actually had good animation. I'm going to have a blast with this one I bet.

Enjoyable enough, but far from my favorite episode. Sheryl is definitely getting a real character, however: delightful but dangerous. I hope she doesn't hurt Ranka. And I hope this doesn't degenerate any closer to standard high-school comedy.

The animation, or at least the drawing, was execrable, the worst so far. Speaking as someone who generally is very forgiving of off-model drawing, some of the drawing in this ep disturbed even me. The people looked very weird at times.

I checked the end-credits, and all the animation credits are Japanese individuals, except for one company, which is Satellite Osaka. No probem with the backgrounds, for which I think I see Philippine names.
