Currently looking for a translator or two to join our group since one of our veteran translators will be retiring soon from the fansubbing scene. Therefore, we're looking for someone to help us continue with our current projects.

We are a group that focuses on having fun subbing series while not stressing too much on time schedules, since we make sure to take into account people's schedules with work and school, while promoting new and current series for the potential of being picked up for the US market. We just ask that you're reliable and keep us updated in the case of any issues that come up that may prevent you from completing the work within a certain amount of time and be easily reachable for any questions we may have.

Applicants for any other positions will be considered on case by case basis. If you're looking for a fun and friendly group to work with, stop by our main and recruit chans. Note that if no one is available in the recruit chan, stop by the main chan and PM one of us.

I use Aegisub, so you won't get the extremely fancy effects that After Effects can provide, but they'll still be appealing. If needed, I can time both an episode and the opening and endings.

Hi !

Encoder and Timer experience, can encode in H264 and XviD and actually any other format.
I hate upscales and will downscale if needed.
Had a lot of discussions regarding H264 on AnimeSuki as some might know.

I work 36 hours in the week as head IT specialist and programmer, but in the free time I have enough time to encode and time as possible.

My work mostly came out with helping: ILA-Fansubs, Moetaku-Fansubs, GNU-Fansubs, StrawberryMintSubs, Chihiro-Fansubs, and some others as freelance.

-We really need a translator for SR3's Bonus OVA. It's a 31 minutes video witch tells the story of the previous 24 episodes from the 3rd term. We don't need speed... If the translation can be provided in 1-2 weeks it would be very okay.
-For School Rumble San Gakki (just one episode here too, because it's a 2 episodes OVA, and we released the first). The episode will be released on 17 this month in Japan, and we'll get the dvd soon after. We have a translator for it... but I'd like somebody faster (we released episode 1 [or well...25] one month late).
-Deltora Quest is a 65 episodes long series. So, we really need help to be faster. (we just released episode 14)

We are once again without a translator for our apparently ill-fated DAQ project. (Dunno why... it's a good show!) We've got 10 episodes to go and we're looking for some help. Ideally we'd like one person to commit to all 10, but even if your only able to commit to one or two eps, please let us know. We're going to finish this project one way or another!

Requirements are:

1) Ability to translate WELL from Japanese to English - yes, we have a TL-checker, but the script should read fairly well before it is checked and not be totally dependent on TL-check.
2) Knowledge of (or willingness to look-up) detective terminology.
3) Ability to translate in-show signs, including names.
4) Reliability and the ability to use irc and ftp (it's not that difficult).
