Let's see, no frog combo =

No frog BNB.
Can't combo with Distortion attack.
No more waking up to frog.
No corner pressure.
Less guard crush.

Means we can only summon the frog, let it walk or blown around, which will be killed by a low attack. And we can't summon it immediately, there's some kind of frog meter like Eddie.

I think the j2C nerfing is about as bad, j2C is the one where Rachel drops out of the sky and sits on their opponents.

J2C, no combo from recovery on ground and no cancel to normals on block =

No triangle jumping.
No 'bouncing' combos.
Huge drop in guard crushing ability.
Cross and mixup game severely weakened.

We are now going to rely on Sword Iris alot and very strictly controlled use of pumpkins.

Its far from final, they'll probably nerf the top tier hard and than bring them up again.

Yes being the first location test, I'm sure they'll get alot of feedback to rebuff Rachel lol

Rachel is like bottom tier now and will be spamming Tiny Lobelia and Sword Iris, completely zoning with zero rushdown play.

You know, out of all the characters in the roster, Rachel was one of the last ones I think needed such a huge nerf like the one they're apparently giving her now. Hope it's not all true, since I don't know if I'll still be sticking with Rachel after this.

She's the 3rd best character in the game... Jin got nerfed hard too and Rachael is much better than him.

Actually by match-ups and by general agreement, Rachel is the best character in the game.

She does the best overall against all characters, except a 45 : 55 against Nu.

By match up, Jin actually does well against Rachel, its a 50 : 50 match. Believe us Rachel players that we really hate Jin lol

The nerfing brought Rachel lower than Jin now, you don't expect Rachel to win Jin just by Tiny Lobelia spamming.

finally played it today. Nu's just knowing when to C and D. beat the arcade mode on hard or w/e it is, figured the best way to get to know the game is trial by fire. now it's time to hop into training.

like someone on dustloop said, this weekend is just throwing shit on the wall and seeing what sticks. half these changes will probably be changed again or whatnot.

Wow so all the returning characters are being given a bit of an appearance update, I wasn't expecting that due to the screenshots.

Too bad no more yandere nu. That was perhaps the most interesting part of the game for me, being a shipper and all.

Man, so disappointed with Tsubaki's costume. Looks so bland IMO, but hey, at least it kinda looks like she's taken over nu as the yandere of the game. XD

Eh maybe. If this is a direct sequal to Calamity Trigger then I would expect no change in appearance, but if it happens like a few months afterward or so I'd expect a little change.

But it doesn't really matter either way anyway.

side note, I'm a sad panda cause none of the 100+ people in the artist gallery at the con knew Nu (few recognized v-13) but none well enough to draw a commission.

as for the new game, i'm actually glad that there moving the story along steadily instead of having random time skips in-between each game. Curious if it's enough to make a new story mode.

Even though it would be hawt. They could make Rachel to be like Washu from Tenchi Muyo and make her older in a special or something like that, hehe.
