This. This was one series that many MANY older watchers wanted to get a sequel, but never really expected to, given how niche it was.

Someone pinch me.

I finished rewatching the first season last week and was planning on rereading the manga afterward, but decided to wait for the special to air in case there was an announcement... glad I waited. It will be fantastic to rediscover those chapters directly in animated form after so many years. I've forgotten about some of them.

Studio and staff are the same as for the first season by the way, so we're in good hands. The anime of the year 2014 has already been decided.

OMG, this and the new Fate series is going to totally kill me. Now all it needs is a Kanae Itou role and I'll probably suffer a heart attack right there and then.

2014's anime of the year is here.

Now let's get another season for Natsume Yuujinchou, Hidamari Sketch and an Aria, Kamichu remake and it will be a SOL festival.

No words either, before the last few months I was sure this was in the "dream sequel that'll never happen" category.

If they announced Natsume Yuujinchou Season 5 and Chihayafuru season 3 2014 would be the best anime year ever.

Might as well throw in Kiyohiko Azuma gives in and we get a Yotsuba anime as well.

But now I am just getting greedy.

Natsume 5 will happen sooner or later - it sells too well. If we get Moribito 2, I'll know I'm dreaming.

Now - 2 cour announcement please. There's exactly enough manga.

Christmas has come late, or very very early.
Either way, words cannot express my utter GLEE at this news!

The announcement of second season is probably the best argument for existence of God.

Slap me because I don't believe it. One of my favorite anime series period. Never thought I would see the day.

2014 is shaping up to be quite the year.

This is just... wow. Just... It's just so difficult to describe the way I'm feeling right now. There are anime one gets excited about and then there's THIS... I don't know, maybe it's because I completely didn't expect this, but I am at a loss for words. Spring can't come soon enough.

Btw, I just love reading everyone's comments. Usually people get either somewhat excited over a series, or meh, or whatever, but this is a thread full of people saying "Whaaaaa, pinch me, etc.". I'm just glad that there are people other than me who still remember this series that fondly and react in the same way.
