In the end everyone will get the game eventually.
Good thing is that all versions will be identical.

I know, despite the news it still won't stop me from cancelling my pre-order and enjoying the game when it comes out. We're getting close, I can feel it.

Online won't be too affected since you can still play with everyone regardless of which version you have. What I'm wondering about is the DLC situation: if/when the game gets DLC is it going to be region locked as well or not? I wouldn't be surprised if it weren't btw.

People need to stop whining about the region lock (well those that are complaining about a 2-3 week wait),
they're basically willing to see the community for this game whittle out just because of it, which is silly. In a month or so it won't even matter.
They've been doing this with anime forever, suck it up. Here's hoping these people are only a vocal minority, after all this is the price we pay for a near simultaneous release.
You can't expect them in good business sense to cannibalize the markets of other regions.

That's worrying, because when this was being loketested and previewed people's love and hype for the game was set so high. Now with the region lock, it's getting set low. I really want this game's scene to expand.

I know what you're saying, but I just wish that they could've handled this game handling issue pretty well. Suddenly region locking was no the way to do things. When I head about this in another places people were upset and considered turning their backs or canceling their orders because of it.

I hope things get better for this game down the line.

The reason behind is fine more or less, the way it was handled is a complete different story. If you plan something like that, at least announce it way before people can actually pre-order it.

I'm not particularly affected by that, but I know some people who are basically screwed since they made pre-order of the US copies, and some shops might not accept pre-order cancellation (at least there is still some leeway), especially those who asked through IRL shops as they can't handle paypal and whatnot.

This I can agree with, it was handled poorly at the expensive of those affected.
At least it wasn't kept quiet up to when it launched (I've heard rumblings that they had to be pressed to spill the beans), that would've been a travesty.

I think the region lock will affect the sales in some countries.

Well people, especially in Europe, are upset about this issue so no surprise if it drops in sale. As a huge supporter for this game... this is really worrying, at least to me.

They had a very valid reason for it. The releases are all coming out at around the same time after all. I personally don't mind since I doubt Atlus will let this be a trend. If anything this might make Atlus decide to slow down localization speed in favor of new region lock. I personally prefer faster localizations.

LOL Teddy is Christian from the WWE.

Flick the Switch and he is saluting his peep.

Makes me wonder if the "Pretty Boy" human form of Teddy is playable.

They might make him as DLC, jk jk.

Well, he can't do anything without his bear costume form, and his human form is there for the humor and bishounen factor, so I highly doubt that he will.

You actually see a glimpse of his human form when he wins. One in his bishounen and maid outfit in the anime and I'm sure in the game.

Probably to make reference to his boyish deceptive feminine looks...aka, him being a potential trap. I'm sure they're probably thinking don't change what works for fans of the series, but that's my guess...
