Hmmm... I see!
New pseudo-shift to replace pseudo shift B Pseudo-shift P This one is completely gamebreaking. It's basically the sue cannon when silver gospel is so in way over its head that it's probably going to die along with its somewhat-pilot. Pseudo-shift D reverts back to the old fixed wing units. Only thing is that there are no cannons. Pseudo-shift D is fully reliant on an ability that appears supernatural to many who don't understand called "Angel Halo". Angel Halo allows pseudo-shift D to control the energies within each molecule that makes up Silver Gospel. The default setting is high energy invested between molecular structure which gives Gospel an impossibly hard physical armor. A second setting is energy release, this turns Gospel into an energy form that can be used to release energy in various ways, one of which is shooting energy bullets from its wings. Third form is the most unstable and probably the most dangerous, nicknamed "excited" state. The final state accelerates the body cells and lets it perceive and act in a unit of time as longer than it really is, the acceleration is also so great that it may dissipate the body into loose cluster of energetic micro-particles, allowing the Gospel to move at highly impossible speeds and even phase through solid objects. |

because I figured at one point, Lyon and Gospel can't keep relying on the various people hunting them down to fight amongst themselves and prevent each other from using their full might to haul them over.
D is pretty gamebreaker in itself, but if it was a more skilled pilot in Byakushiki, there'd really be no telling who'd win. Also, pseudo-shift barely lasts 5 minutes... and I needed an anti-Tatenashi mechanism. |

Other than it's made of energy and just coming in contact with Byakushiki's shield can wipe it out while it's in settings 2 and 3? Setting 1 doesn't have any weapons so in that state, it's all melee. State 2 and 3 are the most powerful states it has but from there it's just pure energy anyway.

well this is still design stage, but I did imagine a scene where when he tried to approach Ichika in setting 3, he kind of almost lost a hand to Setsura's shield @_@
He scatters in the last minute and realizes that EVERYTHING Ichika has can delete him from existence. So while in this form, Ichika is probably the worst match for him. |

That's quite a tragic scenario there. A hand for a hand indeed.
The problem is how you can explain that free energy/high energy state particle can have conscience to begin with. Also, there's always the problem in size, interaction with the environment etc. This creepily sounds like some recent founding in 21st century physic EDIT: and yes, I was talking about Plasma-based lifeform

My friend read my latest chapter and he pointed out this particular part:
Quote:
I was like :| I never intended that part to be a Skyrim reference. Instead, it was referring to the battle back in Chapter 8 where Inami went Gespenst on the Gospel replica.

@eras: Because it would be pointless for the IS to turn to energy but the pilot remains solid. Also it would be potentially lethal
@zero: I already thought of how they move according to hive mind. There is a very loose energy link that holds all of the molecules but that energy is almost trace, so setting 3 can't be held for too long. As for how they are controlled, there is a central particle that acts as the core that contains the central mind. That or each particle is a part of the conscious being and the faint trace energies are synapses. |

I was surprised they can still maintain it's shape under the influence of atmosphere and gravity, oh well, I.S. core dictates pseudoscience after all, able to convert data to material on a whim

Oh, right!
By college, I'll assume you're referring to "Polytechnic" in Singapore context. As for the course, it's Multimedia Infocomm Tech. Sounds fancy, but it basically teaches a wee bit of most IT-based stuffs, mostly network stuffs. As for the future fics, yes! Yes I do have a couple more planned! After Athena, I'll be working on a AU-ish fic. Mostly about the canon characters that, instead of being Academy students, are rogue pilots trying to keep the greedy, warmonger-ing military from getting their hands on their tech. Here's the rough layout of the CCs and what forces they are running from: Ichika & Houki - JSDF Charlotte - Dunois Corp Cecilia - The Majesty's Royal Army Lingyin - Liberation Army Laura + the Schwarz Hase team - Deutsches Heer
