Well it was pretty obvious what Erza was going to say to the other, so why not take the time that it takes to read and use it towards the fight.

Yeah that was a good chapter. Great use of dialogue, and Wendy can look so awesome at times.

Wendy is a wind dragon.

Dragons recharge their power eating their element. So wendy is supposed to have an almost unlimited supply of magic.

I dread that this arc will end up to be sort of a BIG filler. When earthland returns to normal. I will rage if most of the guild members ends up not knowing anything that happened, and they carry on like nothing happened.
I mean, obviously there's Mist Gun, dragon slayers' teamwork, and Charlie&Happy. you know, things that will leave an impression. But if things go back to normal, and no one else remembers anything, isn't it basically a waste?

Well I guess that all depends on certain outcomes in the end but for the part I'd say no wouldn't quite be a waste.

1. Gaz has found his cat
2. We got double Erza and Lucy win
3. We got to see a grown up Wendy
4. and we got to see Lisana, which hopefully we get to see the others interacting with her later on.

I guess this arc is kinda like the Sky Island arc in One Piece, alot of people say it didn't really do much for the story but there was the little things that happen that count.

but we'll just have to wait and see.

I wouldn't call it a waste. For starters, you have the things you already mentioned. Then there's the detail that we still don't know why the Exceed elders had it in for the dragon slayers which could prove interesting. Then there's the minor detail that a large Earthland town vanished for several days which could have caused an uproar.

I finally caught up with the manga, wow what a ride.
I have one question though. What exactly is that elixir Gazeel gave the others so they can use magic in Eldoras? Did I miss out on something, or has this really not been explained yet?

Those things came form Mist Gun. And given what Mist Gun's true identity is, he would know how earthland magic works in Edoras. I think it's just something we're going to have to accept without further explaination based on that.

- the king is defeated, all three ds look like dragons to the king
- mistgun drain all the magic form edo and sent it to earthland.
- the soldiers ran away and the edo-fairy tale guide collapse as no more magic
- the citizen went crazy becuase of no magic.
- mistgun laid out his plan to panthero. Panthero will become the new king of edo and will pass judgement on the villain the king and the prince for stealing all the magic.

*i think having a geard face is some sort of disease.

I think Gérard's miscalculating, there. If he gets executed, sure, maybe Tiger Lily could become king. But even if he does, a week down the road, people will be all "And what have you done for me lately, you damn foreigner / race traitor (as applies). They need more than a dead villain. They need a common, enduring threat. (Also, judging by the next chapter's title, Natsu's going to take over the villain role anyway. Though it could be misleading.)

it doesn't exactly have to last...
The priority is not ever lasting unity, but helping the people get through this time of turmoil... one strong hero is all it may take unite them and get them to work together through this. all they really need is a king to work them through the transition and to help them adapt... Once the people have settled down and adapted to the new world, then the king would not be as necessarily.

As for Panther Lily himself... he's not really much of a foreigner, he's had years to serve the humans and has been honored with a high ranking position in the king's military force... it's certain that he has the human's trust, and the exceed will likely be receptive to him aswell... that's why mistgun sees him as an appropriate choice for the new king; he's the closest thing their is to a mix between exceed and human.

One problem i would worry about though is that people might see it hard to identify with him which make him hard to follow... as an exceed, he should likely retain his magical power, when this world is about transitioning to a world without magic... Considering the previous status of the exceed, it might be easier to blame the exceed and have the hero "kill" (exile) them... have the exceed live on in earthland... and let Lily be Gazzielle's cat =p

The only gripe I have with this manga is why the author draws battle damage like "criss-cross-like".
Totally ruins Lucy and other girls' hot bodies.

It's like they fell on a tennis racket or something.
