I have not watched this episode yet but am I assuming that the hate will continue for Shoko? or will it cool down because she now carries Haruto's will

I think that the hate for Shoko will subside... the reason is there will be a new hated medium and that is the series itself particularly this episode.

Seeing the statue at the back of Shoko I think they had, but not shown in the episode based on the summary here.

With how i heard they rush things here, maybe an OVA prologue for backstory? Then again, i think they probably did the best they can. If they had dragged on another season concerning Haruto's fight, it will just be too long drawn

Honestly, I wouldn't bother worrying about the haters. Though as someone else said there's more stuff to have beef with in this episode than just her. I built up my expectations to be disappointed so much though that this episode didn't bother me as much as others.

The ending of the episode is what has people in a bind. By ending I mean everything after the final battle.
The other parts of the episode were fine imo.
